There won't be a reload because we are now stuck in the middle of the pack in terms of draft choices. - rtang415
By reload, i just mean...reset for another season. Emery's been drafting well...we'll be aw'ite that way.

Defense lost that game: 10 point lead in the fourth - blown.
4th and 11 at the opponent's 6 - can't stop a pass. Can't stop 5 passes in a row, leading to a FG.
Can't stop Minnesota from there own 30 leading to the last FG.
No, should have tried to get closer on 2nd - then 3rd - but it was very make able for Gould. That decision wasn't the fatal problem. - StLBravesFan
There's plenty of blame to go around, and it shifted during the 4th...
First half offensive incompetence
10 point lead and moving the ball in the 4th...drive stalls
4th and 11 defense blows it
Then the defense holds Vikes to 3...
...offense fails to give Gould a shot after nice return of kickoff
Then the OT...jeez, shoot me now. |

The Bears have not been a short yardage team for years. I would rather he throw the (frank)ing thing at this point. He has two monsters for wide receivers. A quick (frank)ing slant and there ya go. Football coaches are among the dumbest people on the planet. - Elbows15
I realize it's easy to criticize from the cheap seats...I do it all the time myself ...
...but I wouldn't want that job for a NY minute. |

A healthy Hawks team beats everyone in their Division in the playoffs...That said I feel the same as last year...
if the Blues could be avoided it would be better for the club that doesn't have to face them.
Circus trip ends with an impressive 5-2 win. Hawks are set up for a great December. On The Blackhawks: My Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1eDT6X6 - Al
Blues better hope Halak stays healthy, Elliott won't get the job done for them.
Pirri could get the bus ticket, but might they move one of Kostka or Brookbank in trade instead? Lots of teams looking for defenceman because of injuries. |

Not so much dumb as phucking conservative: always play to not lose, not to win, from the first quarter on.
Trestman going for it on 4th down a couple of times in those first weeks was so encouraging - but he seems to have learned NFL ways.
It was so amazing to see Michigan go for two for the win yesterday: it didn't work, but so much more interesting (for the fans) than playing for the overtime. |

You might be right. I'm far from sold on the Blues. But to dismiss them as being grossly inferior to the Hawks based on the head to head the year is arrogant and stupid. - John Jaeckel
I tend to agree. The Blues are a tougher team this year. A healthy Halak is better than Elliott. The only thing about Blues I question is their offense. They have been on a torrid pace and not to take anything away from Steen but I highly doubt he will be competing with Ovechkin for the Rocket Richard at year end. |

Yeah its a horrible job. Make millions doing something you love. Very few coaches are never heard from again. Irs a very insular society. |

Look at a Trestman today in the OT: runs the ball because he's afraid of an interception; tries the FG on 2nd down because he's afraid of a fumble or loss-yardage play.
Trust your offense - play the game to win, not just to generate a chance. |

That is what I call dumb..lol I get your point and I agree Saint. Add to it McCown has been pretty responsible with the ball and it all adds up to dumb to me. |

Trestman's making Lovie look like Lombardi and today
he made Gould look like Scott Norwood.

If the offense is moving the ball...defense is on their heels...keep pushing! Force the D to stop you. Drive it to the goal line, but at least the red zone.
If ya run the ball out of concern for an interception, and if you attempt a 46 yd FG out of concern for a fumble, shouldn't you also consider the field position and time remaining if the kick is missed?
I think it was an awful decision.
That said...Gould did F it up. |

Hang on Phil...Lovie wouldn't have won with this sorry ass bunch of defensive players either. And Lovie knew nothing absolutely nothing about a pro style offense. The defense is where it is due to years of horrid drafting by Jerry Angelo. And I'm still wondering how much influence Lovie had on the McClellan pick...It's taken Emery 2 seasons to fix the offense - and now he's going to need time to fix the defense. I think Emery was hoping the defense with the few vets left could hang on for another season or two but obviously that's not the case.
Meanwhile in regard to the Hawks the 4 losses are against the Central arguably the toughest division in the league. In a perfect world the Hawks win the division and let St. Louis and Colorado slug it out in round 1.
The Ducks are in town on Friday and then we have two with the Kings at home later on and then a back to back with Colorado at home and a roadie at St. Louis at the end of the month. No question those games are circled on the Hawks calendar. |

I'm SUPER HAPPY Lovie's GONE...and Trestman's offense is a breath of fresh air, despite the 5 reverses/game....but why can't his pro style offense get 1 yard on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 ??????? A key stop by the Vikes D on such a situation gave the Vikes life. |

Like last week on the two-point conversion from the 3 for the tie: show something other than Bush (wasn't it) into the line. |

Nothing wrong with a little showing of the Bush....
I think the play was a run by Forte, which does nothing to lessen the correctness of your point. |
