Quite possibly the pivotal moment in last year's run. Seabs is the man, he should wear a letter IMO.
- Ogilthorpe2

Real leaders don't need a letter to lead. I hope he retires a Hawk and they hang HIS #7 in the rafters.

Would you take the "A" away from Sharp? Or Keith? i would say Sharp, but every time i get pissed at him he scores a bunch of goals, and hes been very chippy lately after whistles which i dont mind because not many other guys on the team are like that, besides Shaw
- BlazinMike

Sharp, more than any other player, sets the tone physically for this team.

Agreed, i checked out both of those and wasnt impressed with anything they had really. NFL Network even takes a back seat in my opinion to the NHL network as far as enjoyable viewing for me. NHL ntwk has a better highlight show at night, and better shows (at least they used to) with the old Top 10 shows showing all of the old 90's or earlier playoff matchups and goals and stuff. Love watching that stuff. NFL network has good shows as well, but i get frustrated with the guys on NFL ntwk because theyre so ridiculous some times.

Two words gives the edge to the NHL network: Kathryn Tappen.

Hello Elbows. I mentioned earlier how lucky the Hawks are in this area - they have many more guys deserving of a letter than there are letters to give. Some teams can't find a quality guy for the third letter.

Hello Mo. I read that and I agree. Hossa, Seabrook, Rozy, and these days maybe even Kane wouldn't look out of place wearing one. At the same time, they are the type of players who don't need a letter to lead.

Not to be a wise guy, but all these guys care about is wearing rings right now. That is something they all share and continue to work for.

What a time and era to be a Hawks fan! I don't think you have too much to worry about yet JJ. Hawks are certainly proving they have what it takes to make a run at back to back Cups!

I don't think there's too many NHL fans anywhere that wouldn't give their left nut to be able to have to nit pick in order to find flaws with their respective teams just to find something negative to talk about. That's a luxury that should be savored by all Hawks fans! Win a cup and just reload!

As well as the Wild have played so far this season, they are still a very long way from matching up favorably against the Hawks... Maybe next season.

That's good news. It will be nice to have all the forwards and defensemen healthy.
- DarthKane

Who would you rather have at 6d ? Kostka or Brookbank ?

And which one would you rather see at forward ?

Even though i haven't minded Brookie at forward, he's prolly better on d....while Kostka's skating ability and puck handling ability prolly make him the better option at forward.

Kinda my point TG. I doubt any of them give a rat's ass about a letter on their jersey.

Really well said, and thanks. This is the Golden Era of Hawks hockey, indeed. And you are exactly right about the savoring thing - these things are certainly not forever. For many Chicago fans there was a long time out in the woods that makes this time more memorable and enjoyable. All fans should have a taste of this at some point in their hockey lives. Classy post!

Doubt it Phil. With those two it puts them at 21 skaters. Unless someone returns to LTIR.

Al, just curious. Have you ever, or would you ever, relay some ideas you hear in these threads when you write/talk about hockey elsewhere?
