If I was Howie Rose, I'd run into traffic on the LIE. It's bad enough I'm a fan of the mets and isles, he has to watch every single minute of them. I'd kill myself.

unforgivable ..thats what that was....PP with less than 2mins left and a lead and you lose the game....I guess we are lucky the Caps didn't score in regulation to win 3 to 2 with these losers..

It should have been an easy win with a pp up by one. This is a coaching issue. Something has to be done now. I mean. this is bad....

I guess it's not a goalie issue? Different goalie and same results.

Unreal that Hamonic doesn't force Ovie outside on that play. Terribly stupid one on one play by him

Isles lock up Hamonic and Bailey and they have been brutal.

Nope. This goalie played a better game and atleast kept it under 3 goals. I definitely felt more comfortable with him in net, but of course d is the main problem.

I've been very impressed with Dehaan in the few games I've seen him. Another example of not putting importance on numbers in the minors.

just want to point out that Cappy made the right choice to play 2 defenders on the PP in the last 2 minutes up by a goal, our defense (specifically Amac) is (frank)ing atrocious!

While at home over break I had the displeasure to go to all three Islander games and have left utterly heart broken. The first two games were miserable as I watched the team I love play with no heart and, but tonight was easily the worst. They had the game right there and again were able to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. Unfortunately for me I am tied down to have to go to more games when I get home and couldn't be more upset about it. This team doesn't deserve any one to go to the games until something changes and fast. No one should have to waste their money to watch a bunch of guys play with no heart and get embarrassed nightly. Until something changes (and hopefully, but probably not tonight) I will detach myself from this team.

I think Snow gets too much credit for his "rebuild".
Looking at this objectively...
In 2007, he had 0 first rounders...not his fault
In 2008, he had the #9 overall and 3 second rounders
In 2009, he had 2 first rounders, #s 1 & 12 overall.
In 2010, he had 2 first rounders, #s 5 & 30 overall.
In 2011, he had the #5 overall and 3 second rounders.
In 2012, he had the #4 overall pick
In 2013, he had the # 15 overall pick.

In the past 6 years he has had FIVE top 10 overall picks and 8 first rounders!!!!
My point in stating Snow has been grossly overrated is that he has had the draft picks and has drafted some talent but has done nothing else! I know, I know...the Lighthouse project and nassau county is to blame for that. This guy is a joke. Give anyone these draft picks and you're gonna get some talent, even if by accident. He has not given these picks the support a hockey club needs. He has not built anything.

xx..if Wang sells, in all likelyhood Snow will go too. A new owner is going to put in their own people in top management spots....
- kear20

and that is fine... I just worry.. that alot of times a new GM comes in and makes moves of guys he has no loyalty to because he wants to put his stamp on the team... guys like Hamonic, Strome, KO, Nelson, hell even Tavares could be moved because the new GM has his own vision.

Id like Snow to get another season except this time with no restraints from Wang.

No GM is trading a franchise center like JT.

Just finished watching the game on DVR. Words can describe how much I hate my beloved team. Dump them all! Years of bottom five finishes and nothing to show for it? Rebuild my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is giving him credit? Nobody overrates Snows GM skills. I am not sure what you are getting at.

No GM would trade Tavares to "put his stamp" on the team. The rest of them should be candidates to be trades if the organization can improve by moving them. This loss is unforgivable, as someone already put it. Up one goal at home against a team that traveled and played the night before, you have a power play to end the game and still can't hold the lead. That's the sign of a team that simply has no ability to play defense or one that simply hasn't been taught how. Either way, it's an unforgivable situation and a change is needed from the GM down. I'll take my chances with a new regime at this point. It can't possibly be worse than this.

No need for an argument. I have read several posts here and articles in local newspapers that offer "credit" and some sort of recognition to Snow for drafting talent as well as rebuilding the Islanders. I was just offering my objective opinion of him. Like I said, wasn't looking to instigate an argument and this certainly is not a Rangers-Icelanders thing since we have have our own problems. I say that because any time a person who is not an Islander fan posts something negative about your beloved disorganization, a moronic reply along lines of "Rangers suck...what about Holik, Gomez, Drury, Kamensky, Quintal, etc" is spewed even though it has nothing to do with the original post.
