The best thing that could happen to this team is for PMB or Regin to be out for the season so Nelson gets to actually play
Anyone have a clue on why the (frank) ges scratched |

Or Poulin is going to the Sabres.... - ziggy_skalica
No chance we trade for Miller IMO. Absolutely NONE. Snow and company will sooner move on to next season than giveaway more assets for a rental. Especially at the cost Miller will demand. |

Vanek might be leaving and I doubt Garth wants to add Miller and risk him leaving as well. |

Cappy's treatment of Nelson is pathetic. This kid needs playing time whether that be here or in Bridgeport. He's learning NOTHING from sitting in the pressbox game after game. Meanwhile, Regin plays on.... |

I hate when young players are brought up to sit. Makes no sense. |

i know it was only 1 game and by no stretch am i going to make a prediction of his career off of it but DeHaan looked really good against caps. |

Agreed...and on this team one more game should leapfrog him into top four status |

Fortunately Nelson is much more mature than Nino was, but this kid has already sat several games despite performing pretty well. He needs to be playing top six minutes whether that be here or on the farm. |

Why not? Garth Snow did it in four weeks with Brian Strait. |

Why sell the team when it's finally about to become lucrative. What would be the point of purchasinng a stock at rock bottom and selling just as it was about to take off? - keaner17
Actually, I'd argue the team is worth more now than its been in years. The deal to Brooklyn is done and you have one of the best players in the league on the roster.
Just like we all thought we'd be good this year, there's no guarantee we'll be any better in Brooklyn. I'm just sick of supporting 2 teams who keep lying to the fans when they say they have money. The isles and the mets are clearly operating on a budget spending plan. I don't care if they do it but, at least, be (frank)in honest about it. |

Why start being honest now? There are still a few people left who believe these idiots. |

Agreed...and I'd argue with the escalating cable contract, prospects joining the team, actual arrival to Brooklyn and subsequent marketing to follow, it will be worth MUCH more soon. If he endured close to $200 million in losses over that time, why sell now when the team is finally about to become profitable?

we won't know anything until they're actually playing at Barclays. If we go a couple of years into that lease and we're still signing PMB's and on the bubble for the playoffs, I'd be on board.
The bottom line is, I can't rationalize why someone would purchase a team and endure HUNDREDS of millions in losses and WANT to underearn in future years. It makes no sense. If someone can provide a rational explanation then maybe we have something to talk about but just assuming that Wang wants to throw bottom dollars at this team forever is sort of silly. What would be the point? |

We will never be a spend to the cap team IMO. He may spend more but people are hoping/expecting too much I think. |

Maybe, maybe not. If we don't, I think it will be more of a philosophy than cheapness. I don't need the team to spend to the cap ceiling to make me think the owner cares, as long as we a fair amount above the floor, I'm satisfied. |
