How about Regin and a high end defensive prospect? - kear20
They want a Center give them Frans plus prospects and get the Leafs to include Reimer. |

I wouldn't be shocked if Snow tried to expand the deal w/Frans as part of a package.....Then bc Bailey is signed for more years, he will go back to C
I would definitely try something like that....
Like I have said before anyone on this team is expandable except a few players |

How about Franz Neilsen to Toronto for Cody Franson? Strome is brought up to take Neilsen's spot? |

It's perfect. Frans has value being seen as an underrated guy and you move Bailey to 3rd line center and Strome to 2nd line. |

Doesn't sound like theyd be able to hold their own defensively, yet. need some more experience on that line. |

I don't think any trade will help the team as long as we have this stiff as a coach. Until the coach is changed, it's not going to get better. |

If thinks continue to be poop:
Trade Vanek for a GOOD young defender
Bring up Lee and Strome
Trade Amac for a bag of pucks - Danformo
I think Amac & Hamonic are both being asked to be a top pairing AND to contribute offensively. Hamonics game is a yard sale lately and they have Amac logging 20 min+ per game? Yes, Vis is out but they are expecting way too much from these kids. It's a misuse of assets. Just like KO on the top line. He just doesn't fit with Tavares & now Vanek. He's run into JT sooo many times fighting for the same puck and he is dead awful on the PP on left wing. He used to play the right side on 2nd line. Maybe they should switch Bailey & KO for a few games. Grabner seems to have lost all of whatever small amount of confidence he once had. |

Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
Couple thoughts on Strome: He's been at C all season, so only spot he'd take with #Isles is Regin's. Can Strome play that role?
- kear20
Gee I don't know. Those are some pretty big skates to fill. |

Mr. Stone hands.... in a nano second
I'm not a supporter of Grabner only bc he's one dimensional on a team that lacks a ton. He might do well somewhere else but really don't care.
I have watched a lot of TO games and like Gardiners game a lot, where he's young, mobile and really not bad defensively either. Would immediately improve our defense for now and future...
I believe IF those players are true, I would think TO would prefer Grabs only bc of youth, speed, salary, so if true pull the trigger.... - Ur Not Me
What exactly is his "one dimension?" Speed? Defense? PK? One of the top 5-on-5 scorers in the league?

Few things.
1) trading moulson didnt lead to losing streak. In fact I think vanek is a gamer. You see some of these passes he putting on jt's stick ?
2) we all can't be too suprise. Our team that slipped in last year had mark Streit and brad boyes. Now I know people hated boyes but I think was better than Bouchard and regin combined. And Nelson would be getting healthy scratched b/c of cappy's dire need of always playing regin
3) silver lining to all this. Nilsson looks like out best option. He at steady and makes nice saves when needed. Also Dehaan played 30 mins with hickey and both were not on ice for any of the caps goals
4) we trade bailey and that will be a huge mistake. |

Very true. We could have an all star line up and capuano would find a way to screw it up. |

Happy to hear the crowd is letting capuano have it. They should be chanting for snows head shortly who is of course the real culprit in all of this. |

Sorry to disagree and that's why these posts are people's opinions.
He is nowhere near top 5-on-5 scorers in league, and please don't try to provide me with stats to back it up, bc stats are misleading when Grabs probably scores when its not necessary in a game.
And yes he's 1 dimensional, he only has speed and his defense is non-existent. All he does is waive his stick side-2-side hoping to intercept a pass, which his SPEED allows him to be a little quicker compared to the rest of the other players.
Please don't think that he's our best PK, bc he does NOT check anyone or even try a BLOCK a shot.
If you believe he's better and has all those intangibles, that's great.... I just don't
Now if the Isles were more of a complete team, then Grabs will go unnoticed and might be better off.... |

Last season was not an anomaly but with the shortened schedule they played most of their games against division rivals. Oxymoronicaly in the Metropolitan Division they've hardly played any Metro teams. The coaching staff and players are overwhelmed because they have to prepare against teams that play sound technical hockey. - Fan101
They are 2 and 10 against teams in the Metropolitan Division beating only the Penguins in regulation and the Devils in a shootout. They have lost twice to the Capitals, Flyers, Hurricanes and Columbus and once to the Rangers and the Penguins. |
