How does Nashville rationalize keeping Barry Trotz as their head coach? Guy has been in Nashville 14 years and has won 2 playoff series.

Bc nashville knows they have to play his style or they wind up like calgary/florida. no money to attract talent. no reason for ufa's to want to go there

Amazing they found the money to match the offer sheet the Flyers extended to Weber isn't it?

The only reason they were able to match was that their owners paid the signing bonus out of their personal funds, the team could not have matched it. I believe they felt that if they lost Weber and Suter at the same time, attendance would have plummeted and they were willing to pony up their own money to prevent that from happening.

However if Nashville misses the playoffs again this season, and they most likely will, I'm not sure that their owners are going to be willing to write that 13 million dollar check again this summer. That's why I still think there is a very good chance that Weber gets dealt this offseason.

Agreed. Nashville was the better team. Mason stole the 2 points.

It's possible. They will almost certainly miss the playoffs. I know Weber is the better player, but Suter was better last year, and he's been better than Weber this year as well.

Flyers really catch a break these next two games. In the 4 games Minnesota has played without Parise, they are 0-4-0, and have averaged 1 goal a game.

And I believe Datsyuk is concussed. And will miss the game Wednesday night.

Just watching the emergence of Mason as a top flight starting goalie and the continuing development of Sean Couturier into a two way force has already made this season a good one for me.

I'm looking at the waiver wire in my FHL, and one of the screens I do is for "Last 14 Days"...Couturier is ranked 4th among remaining skaters...I don't know if I've ever seen him bubble up to that level before. It's nice to see and just another anecdotal indicator that he's coming on.

I'm losing faith in Jake. I wouldn't be opposed to trading him at all.
- TonyBazz

There is no way I'd trade him.
They need guys to carry the puck and drive possession.
Jake and G are about it on this team, maybe Matt Read.

Brayden Schenn has a nice shot and has a physical edge but I haven't seen him show consistent ability to carry the puck up ice.

Couts is starting to show this skill. He seemed very slow but the last few games has been showing that he might have a second gear.

Jake just had a rough night, hopefully he bounces back into his Jagr lite form soon.

How does Comcast rationalize keeping Ed Snider as their Flyers Chairman? Guy has been with the Flyers 46 years and has won 2 Stanley cups.

They keep him as long as they make money.
Winning a Cup probably is secondary to the bottom line for them.
