and for poops and giggles i tallied up the leafs record against playoff teams

they are 5 and 5.. with most of their wins coming against wildcard teams

this team is not that good. i think by January you will be forced to agree.

not sure if it was motivation, but they looked completely gassed in the 3rd and OT. The only line that seemed to have a little energy was McClement, Kulemin and Raymond.

you paint a rosy picture but its not complete.. we are hanging onto the 8th playoff spot and i sincerely doubt they hold onto it for long.

What may be more frustrating that anything else (as I mentioned yesterday) is the lack of physicality. The Leafs became a force last season because they push EVERYONE around, we almost beat the Bruins at their own game. Preseason we saw more of the same thing up until the game in Montreal when Orr and Parros fought. Since that game, and someone could check this if I'm wrong, there has been maybe two fights. Those fights are barely memorable too.

I'm not only talking about Orr, Mclaren and Komarov either. The entire team was playing with an edge. It seems that for the majority of this season only five or six Leafs have been keeping up that kind of tempo.

This year's team is not as good as last year's team.
