This is going to sound crazy, but I would prefer to have Liles back up and playing over Gardiner, Ranger, Gunnarsson, and even Rielly (at least until he matures and rounds out his game). Faser gets a pass because he is the only one that makes players pay down low and in front of the net.

go take a look at the schedule.. you will note that other than one game against pittsburgh the leafs have lost everytime they have played one of the top teams in the league.

so sure.. the leafs are one of the better crappy teams.. yay.

when they are playing the leafs they do

no team.. not the 1980's oilers, not the 70's habs.. can play a style where they are routinely out shot 2-1 and continue to win.

its never happened before.. and its not going to happen now.

He should definitely be playing over Ranger at this point. I've been on this hobbyhorse for a while. At the very least, a veteran presence.

And Toronto is different... everyone knows most players when they play toronto bring all they have. They know all their family and friends are watching.

all this... crying over playing bad teams i tune out. because players get their Richard up to play toronto...it's fact.
