Was really hoping they would bring Liles in. That's where I'm at with the defence these days.

The first 2 points are not coaching... those come down to the skill and mental toughness of the players.

The team is very young and he has the most experince, stands to reason he would be the better choice, McKegg, Abbott and Leivo have all been good lately as well, Percy and Granberg have been good on D, Brennan has been the best of all the D.

If you believe the coach is to blame for the team not having a shot in the 3rd and OT then fine man go right ahead... but you're way off base. I'm all for firing a coach, Carlyle means nothing to me but lets use a bit of intelligence.

With the way the defense has been all season, is Rielly actually developing, or would he have been better to stay in the WHL? Because right now everyone but Dion looks like a chicken with their head cut off when ever a team applies any pressure.

On that note, Dion has been really good positionaly and playing a very responsible game, but he still can't make a play/pass when under pressure, and just blindly throws it away too much.

Well maybe they should have called up Percy...Given D struggles might be worth a try...Brennon i get as once called u have to keep him up as he would have to pass waivers to go down and would get claimed..

Nah, I said at the beginning of the season he should not have been signed, McClaren is younger, skates better and fights more when needed, all you need is one player like that.

They can place Orr on waivers and it won't count against the cap.

If at the end of the season they miss the playoffs and get out shot in every game then your argument holds water and there's a case to turf Carlyle but at this point what you're going on about is insane Leaf fan rhetoric commonly heard on sports talk radio..
