I dont think they are playing to their potential. Like the leafs aren't playing to theirs. With a super weak eastern conference I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs. |

Their defense leaves a lot to be desired. Gryba, Borowiecki (who??), Corvo (really?), Phillips who's now 35 years old... Karlsson who's now specializing in turning the puck over in his own end. You have Marc Methot who's solid every night and that's about it.
Cowen looks like Tyler Myers lately. And not the good Tyler Myers.
Couple that with Anderson coming back down to earth and Lehner doing well once every 2 games and Zibanejad/MacArthur looking like you best forwards.
