Correct.

He's a $5.25m dollar player

- lumlums

i like clarkson, he plays a pretty hard game....but i dont know if hes even a 4mil a year guy...he seems to be not super effective for the most part...but whatever...he was gonna cost at least the 5.25 he got from the leafs...it is what it is

honestly though...zero shots...i still cant believe that happened

it shocks me that there are guys in the NHL who dont just do that out of instinct.

all that work to get to this level... and its the type of thing that should be drilled into a players head by the age of 8 years old.

unbelievable

RC just needs to start benching guys for a shift everytime they decide to go for a big skate. pull them off the ice and tell they take the next shift off. everytime.. every single time.. to every player.

it will sink in.

If they haven't already tuned him out.

1.Since Nonis is handcuffed by the cap I don't see too many moves he can make other than minor tinkering.

2.Carlyle appears too stubborn to change his style. He is adamant that a square peg will indeed fit in a round hole if it is shouted at enough.

3.seems the only choice at this point, and I'm sure over the next ten days we will see how viable that option may be.

- Barx

it was pointed out to me earlier that nonis and carlyle have a very very long history together

NOW that being said.. if the leafs start into a tailspin.. i fully expect Leiweke to step in and force a change.

other than phaneuf, the entire defense would need to be sitting in the pressbox.
kulemin should find his way up there as well.

oh its time to trade kuli

he isnt crucial anymore and he'll cost too much next season.

the best way to use him as an asset is to trade him at the deadline.

one of three things need to happen

1: Nonis needs to change the personnel to suit Randy's systems

2: Randy needs to change his systems to suit the personnel

3: Nonis needs to fire Randy and find a coach who will apply a system that suits the personnel

- Dozzer

... How long does Carlyle get a free pass?

At some point, don't you have to look at this and question the coaching?

If we want a shot at McDavid, we trade Phaneuf. Without Phaneuf, I think we have the worst D in the entire league right now.

Count the number of times a game where a Leafs dman gives away the puck in his own zone. It is startling.

SO, Take the team back to fundamental hockey. The BASICS.

Good solid, team defense hockey. Which should work very well for this team of players because they are very good off the rush on 2 lines. Kessel and Kadri are excellent players on the rush and can make things happen.

So, Good team defense in our own end, leads to turnovers and an offensive opportunity off the rush, which we have the team for.

Seems pretty simple to type it.

Since the first 2 weeks of the season, they are not a playoff team. That is a significant stretch of mediocrity.

Yes, they have had more than their fair share of injuries and suspensions, but even a bunch of minor leaguers could learn and play a system.

Not too sure, Leiweke might just let Nonis hang himself so he can bring in his own guy. Maybe his son in law is actually a mole and will be the next GM of the Leafs

Its just sad to watch a team with abilities, play like this. They have no jump, they have had to dominance in any way. At least last year they were bullies. This year they can't even do that right. Our biggest bully is Kardi for FS.

This game is in the upper portion of the conference...

And you want to get mcdavid?
