Not if all goals are reviewable on a challenge, hence why it is given. If they deem that the goal was illegal, they call it back. Same as when it is kicked in, they call down to say it is being reviewed, this time you put it in the hands of a coach to have it checked.

When Franson and Fraser played third line minutes, they looked like gold. Ranger is out-leagued, he's a good 5-6 (as I have constantly said) but it is more apparent that we have too many 5-6 defensemen.

But trade Phaneuf - the only worthwhile defensemen (other than Rielly)...

Like it is in the NFL. If the refs say it was out of bounds or not TD, coaches can challenge it was a TD, and vice versa.

Believe it or not, that crowd can be pretty damn lively if the on-ice product is putting on a good show.

Maybe a replay of the goal can be seen upstairs immediately and on first replay, if there's some sort of doubt whether or not it was a fair goal, send the memo down and get the play reviewed.

I don't know, maybe the coach has to tell the ref the specific reason, for ex. interference on the goalie denying him the chance to save it, they review it and if it is what the rule book says is interference, then yes it is called back.

I'm talking only goals, not high sticking penalties and such.
