I think TB did the right thing if they tought he wasn't ready for the NHL. But it would be nice if the AHL could serve more of an official in-between. Not sure about the real reasons for this 9-game rule though. I guess it would be tough for the junior leagues?

All the CHL stars would either be in the NHL or the AHL, so nobody would care about the CHL.
