Weren't we saying the same about Tinordi (minus the offense part) his first year in the OHL? Loocked ok in training camp and in the AHL right now...

Kid's 18, first year with other kids who've probably all played more hockey against tougher competition...he'll adjust.

Tinordi looked like a bust after his first season there. They don't play as many games in the US National Development Program (35 games per season). Looks like he will have to make the adjustments and get in good shape. He will need some time before we can see him in a Habs uniform.

Most kids in canadian major junior leagues play year round from the age of 12-13 until they make it to major junior...then once there keep playing/training year round. Not sure this is the case with kids in the US program...sure they might play as much NOW (that they are in the program), but they don't have as many hours on ice as the canadian kids...

This is my thinking as well. He doesn't have more than 1-2 years left as a $6M player. Then again, Gonchar had 7 more years left as a $5M player at this age (apparently)
