Hate to say it but at this point I would have put Liles in, instead of Gards and Ranger. At the very least, he has some experience.

He is absolutely not that much worse, or worse at all, than some guys they have played. Besides, if you want to trade him, you might want to actually show other teams he can still play in the NHL.

Nope.

Girardi is someone I'd target hard, Especially as he's a UFA soon. Despite that, he would not be cheap however. Polak would be okay, but he's a 4D, and not the fastest, though he would allow Rielly to play his game.

They might also be better had their top 6 been intact for more than 1 game this season. Now Lupul gone again, for 2 weeks, at least.

As much as I don't see a lot to like about the Leafs, the injury/suspension thing has really been pretty bad this year.

Was a matter of time really...need more defensive guys out there instead of offensive guys trying to be taught to be shutdown guys. Trade the guy already.

I think it would be a huge mistake to trade Gardiner. The guy will eventually be a top pairing offensive d-man with the ability to control the game. His skating is off the charts.

Unless it's a Sean Monahan type big centre with skill coming back you don't trade that kind of talent away.
