All this (except being on his 5th team) describes Corey Tropp, who you just tried to justify was waived for good reason.

except for the fact that he hasn't been on 5 teams (or even 2 for that matter), he has injury history, and he isn't possibly closing in on the end of his career at the slightly higher age of 29.

Right, that's exactly my point. Why would the Sabres take a flyer on him when he has proven to 5 other teams that he's no good. Tropp may be just a case of bad luck with his injuries. When he first came up he was a solid 3/4th liner. How is getting rid of him a good move, while at the same time signing a guy who other teams know isn't good, also a solid move? I just don't get the logic I guess.

It's funny how fast some fans forget when they cried for an enforcer after Lucic creamed Miller. Since Thornton took a big ass whooping from Scott those games against Boston have been calm.

As long as there is fighting in the NHL, John Scott is welcome as far as I'm concerned.
