RANGER'S MCDONAGH INJURED - PRESSURE MOUNTING?
New York Rangers goalie Ryan McDonagh has been injured bloking a shot in
Tuesday's naights game.
UPDATE - Ryan McDonagh is a Defenseman.
If I were Sather, I'd be in the hunt for a rental goalie that can fill the shoes of back up goaltender Ryan McDonagh.
UPDATE - Ryan McDonagh is a Defenseman.
Sather need look no further than to his upstate peers for the anser: Ryan Miller.
Ryan Miller is a well known goalie. It is also well know n that Ryan Miller is a free agent after this season. Much the same way Angels get their wings every time a bell rings, so too do I post a blong regarding a possible trade incolving Ryan Miller to whatever team has an injury, whether it be a forward, defenseman, goalie...
Hell, should the Tampa Bay Lightning's front office secretary come down with a cold... they better get on the hotline to f*cking Buffalo because Ryan Miller will fill her shoes.
UPDATE - The Tampa Bay Lightning's team secretary is currently in good standing health.
I mean COME ON people! He's right here! USDA Choice Teriyaki! And in return, we ask your first rounder, your top scoring talent, a defenseman, and a goalie. Fair trade.
Here's a fun fact: Ryan Miller played in the olympics and won a silver medal. He was also MVP. He is still the best. Your team needs him. He's here. Ryan Miller. Olympic MVP. Number 30 in the blue and gold.
What's that you say? Ovechkin pulled a hamstring? Ryan Miller.
Sidney Crosby has a concussion? Ryan Miller.
Kyle Okposo tweaked his nkee? Ryan Miller.
Coyote's might relocate? Ryan Miller.
Patrick Kane is from Buffalo? Ryan Miller.
Patrick Roy was a goalie. Ryan Miller.
Wayne Gretzky retired? Ryan Miller.
More to come. But not really. Maybe. Green roller skates. - TSchiefer
Well (frank)ing done, sir! |

In real news, Sabres claimed Matt D'Agostini from Pitt. That naturally means that 20 GMs will be scouting this game for either Leino Stafford or Both!!! |

The Sabres... not the fans who want the #1 pick.
Players play to win... not for next years draft selection. - mlindsay
They certainly don't look like they want to win. |

The Sabres are bad. them waiving a 4th line player in Tropp -- who cares? So the guy can hit and has "heart". You know what? He is a -8 in 9 games played so far. He also has a history of injuries (torn ACL, broken jaw, concussion).
We tend to fall in love with players here because they "play hard and pour their heart and soul into the game". While that is important, it isn't the only thing you need. Eventually the Sabres need talented players who play hard. Waiving a 4th liner who is injury prone isn't a big deal, and won't "come back to bite the Sabres".

I also like the claim we made with D'Agostini. I know he isn't a great player, but guess what he brings to the table: a veteran presence who is going to be working his arse off.
We know this because he is on the verge of being bounced out of the NHL (proof: he was just waived, and is now on his 5th team and is 29). He will have the work ethic and the want to win - something some of our veterans seem to be lacking. |

But why another 4th line player that nobody else wants??? At least Tropp gave 110%. |

I like how Hiller is so bad that the Ducks need to trade for Miller early in the blog, but by the end we flip Hiller for a 1st and a top-6 forward at next years deadline. |

at least they pull him out of the lineup, and don't try to pitch him as a good hockey player.

All this (except being on his 5th team) describes Corey Tropp, who you just tried to justify was waived for good reason. |
