Instead of worrying about getting out of last place, this team is worried about jerseys and a game two months away. - ses111
more jersey sales = more money = dan girardi july 5th??
if you guys truly care about this team, you'll buy 100 jerseys each right now! |

I have no doubt buying a bunch of jerseys will get Wang to run this team in a professional manner. |

Too early to go into that mode. As bleak as things look, the situation can turn. Just need to take one game at a time, because in two weeks, things may look entirely different, especially in this Division. |

true but I've grown frustrated with the stupidity that oozes from this club. From the coach to the GM to the players now. It's bush league from top to bottom. Who the fack is Capuano and where did he come from? What kind of resume does this guy have? He is so blatantly moronic at times I can't stomach it. Thompson who is a terrible assistant evidently. Our special teams are deplorable. It's hard to watch at this point because there's no end in sight due to Snow's "patience"(translates to stupidity). There isn't an intelligent person within this club from top to bottom. Just a bunch of arrogant know nothing idiots. The most dangerous idiot is the one that's sure of himself. That right there is a pretty good description of Garth Snow. |

great story, Dan.
Looking forward to your draft preview. Top 6 ranked players should be sufficient. - jmo16
Yep. At this point the next blog should be about whether it's worth keeping our pick or deferring it to next year? |

Yep. Weak draft but if we suck it up enough I'd be more inclined keep it if we were picking in the top 5. |

You have to keep the Top 5 pick, no doubt. Just need to make sure you don't get the first overall the following year, with the best prospect since Crosby sitting at the top of that draft board. Not something you guys have to worry about, however. |

Well that's because you're the guy that's always happy with top 5 picks. After watching the way our prospects are being developed and how they're handled I'm not as enthusiastic as I once was. |

He'll be fine. Marty will be retiring and he'll have the net all too himself. Would love to have him but it's never happening. |

Guy is going no where till he says he's not signing which will be somewhere near the trade deadline. Book it. |

I am finding it hard to believe he will be resigned. He will demand 8 million a year for a while and we know how this team operates. |

He's not getting 8 million a year from anyone. Probably around 7 million but I have a hard time believing anything north of that? I know what he's getting now is comparable but think of the circumstances under which that contract was signed. He's not going to sign with us for one simple reason and that's because we suck and are run by a bunch of bush league idiots. He is getting a good taste of this now. It won't be because of money. I'd like to think that even snow is smart enough to know that he would have to pony up for vanek. It's not even questioning his intelligence it's common sense. |

Shockingly enough we disagree again... Marty is not going to retire and this will get worse. |

A lack of faith in this team winning will be a bigger factor than money. Keeping Cappy is not doing the Isles any favors in keeping Vanek. |

They brought him in to resign... they will pay what he demands. That is if he evens wants to stay.
Hopefully he will.
