Well, it has the original logo on the shoulder so everyone can stfu about abandoning it. It's one game that is not actually played on Long Island so it's not that big of a stretch. Plus it's not that bad, when you consider what they did with the current third jersey.

it's not bad, but it's clearly a money grab. This is a jersey they'll wear ONCE but with the Black Friday "push" am sure it'll be on sale tonight at the Coli. Once again, score one for the PR department ......doing more work than the front office!

I was thinking about the jersey myself but as we have pointed out, Staple is good with his information. Don't think he would say this is a major announcement if its uniform information. The islanders have tweeted nothing. If it came from the islanders twitter I'd agree with you that it's nothing.

Edit: still don't think it's anything major. Could just be a alumi game maybe ?

Simple... don't sign anyone else. you lose Nabby and his over 3 mill. PMG 2 mill, Regin 750k... probably trade (if anyone wants him) carkner or buy him out. Probably trade Grabner (3 mill) and Vis (almost 5 mill)... and play all the kids.

I read the cap could go up to $80 million next year because the new TV contracts kicks in...so according to Cap Geek Islanders have at least $27 million in cap room. Also, the one year contracts like Bouchard, Regin, Martinek, etc. probably won't be resigned.

It's only going to get tougher for the Isles if big spenders like the Rangers have more cap room. It will be really tough if the Isles miss the playoffs.
