Well that was an exciting period. They look real hungry for a win.

Said it before...no identity whatsoever...which generally makes for boring, directionless hockey.

Yet another faceoff loss that leads to another goal. Same problems every game. Another neutral zobe turnover leads to another goal. This has nothing to do with coaching right? According to capuano and staple coaches aren't ther to motivate. What exactly do coaches do?

And on the turnover both Nielsen and hickey covered one man and left the other wide open. Coaching.

Cappy said before the game that the PK is the problem. Interesting as they are losing 3-0 and I don't think they've been on the PK at all tonight.

here's another key moment for me - first goal goes in, knuckle ball off the post. They cut to the bench, where this team is clearly down, lacks confidence and I see Cappy quietly writing a note to himself. How about sending out the next line with a kick in the ass? Firing up the troops? Nope, may as well be writing up his goddamn resume. No emotion, no fire, nothing. Just like the team.

Regin on pace for 11 pts for the entire season.
Bouchard on pace for 15 points. WOW!
Good move Cap!

Snow went for quantity (Regin, Bouchard, resigning Nabakov, Strait, Martinek, Boulton, etc.) during the summer instead of going for quality (Ryan, Franson and Hiller)...with that you have a team 6 games under .500...

the team also looks nothing like the one from last season in the final two months. Not even remotely. Regin has been horrible tonight, Grabner has been invisible, as has Bailey. Our defense hasn't been good enough and that's become the theme for the season.

There is no accountability, no system, no fire, no heart.

If I was the Islanders owner, I'd fire Capuano and make Snow the coach...I'd tell him you picked this crappy team, now fix it or you'll be fired...

I would have kept Aucoin...at least he played with some heart...I'd put Bouchard and Regin on waivers this week...

I agree Poulin isn't a #1 goalie, but the first goal was off the post, the second won was a give-a-way by our stellar defense and the third was the Winnepeg forwards manhandle our defense....

Carkner followed by amac then dono. I've counted eight turnovers from our zone to the neutral zone by amac tonight. Three literaly right in front of our net. Guy is terrible.

On the first one, he was totally in the wrong spot. On the second one, I thought someone put the pads on the Frankenstein monster. He simply isn't quick enough laterally to have success if he doesn't position himself properly- totally reminds me of Biron.

THAT SAID....

I'd still like someone to explain to me what the f**k it is they are trying to do in their own zone. Up the boards and out.....up the boards and out....block the pass, block the shot, up the boards and out. It's not that difficult.....why are they passing the puck in front of their own net? Just makes no sense...
