so you didn't move cheap, young assets for Bobby Ryan?
- DoubleDown

Yes ,but we have more. Our defense is far too inexpereinced With three of our top6 just at or under 100 nhl games played.Signing a Joe corvo to replace the experience that gonchar .is a huge downgrade .We had the cap but EM would rather female dog about not being able to get a casino ,and sulk in the Barbado,s than spend a dime on the team

I know Subban is flamboyant, but I don't know where people come up with the "Subban isn't a team first guy".
I know the Media have said multiple times that he made veterans mad, but that was pretty much he made Gomez mad. Who the (frank) cared???
All Habs fan watch 24CH. There isn't a single incident that shows Subban not getting along with anyone, or not being a team first guy. He is very coachable, and has been very mature all season.
He's only had 1 bad game with a selfish penalty at the end, but he let emotions get to him. Also the only reason they were in that game was because of his amazing play.

Ummm maybe the multiple fists fights he has gotten into during practices?

Right, except that all of the pundits picked Ottawa to finish high in the standings based on a roster that they knew did not include Alfie or Gonchar.

See how logic works? High five.

- oniremosewa
Who picked them ???,nobody in ottawa expected anything of the sort .Most of us were expecting a moderate trend upwards with us making the playoffs and maybe winning a round if we got a favorable matchup. The east isnt really stellar this season btw

You're right, it is early-ish. So are you telling me that you still think the Sens are the Cup contenders many picked picked them to be going into this season?
- oniremosewa

Dude, one publication picked the Sens to be a cup contender. I don't know one Sens fan who thought they were a legitimate playoff team.

Most Sens fans thought they'd finish 2nd or 3rd in the division.

Right now the Sens are 6-0-1 against the Atlantic and 1-7-2 vs the West. Some of the Western teams they've played so far are Ducks x2, Sharks x2, Minny, LA, Phoenix, Chicago. So of their games against the West, 7 of them were against cup contenders.

The Sens are not a great team by any stretch, but in the crappy East, they should still make the playoffs no problem.

Okay, let's try this one more time.

When some experts picked the Sens to go to the Finals going into this season, they did so based on the exact roster the Sens currently have. Not based on the moves they could've made but didn't for financial reasons, not based on Alfie or Gonachar staying with the team, but based on all the players currently on your roster. And that roster has proven to be aggressive mediocre 25 games into the season, hence why they were - say it with me now! - overrated

Is English your second language?

I don't get how the story is about Subban making the team. Of course he will there is no controversy there. Only the one you retards are creating and manifesting through the media.

Subban would be my first selection if i chose the team. Big ice surface, Subban is by far the strongest skater of any NHL defensemen let alone Canadian ones.

Having said that Bouwmeester is a strong skater too, but I still think Phaneuf can add a different dimension as well as a great shot.

Right, and had he said the leafs were overrated and that the early start can't keep them safe from Corsi forever, what would you say?

So disappointed in the fact that TSN will not have any games in the future. Sportsnet is ok... but the talent on the TSN panel far outweighs it!

It's not so much as an "obsession" that Piet and Bouw skate as a pair, they both deserve to be there and just happen to be on the same team.

Also Pickles on the team

No match between Sens and NYR on Del Zotto. Told Ott made Gryba, Greening and Condra available. Fit wasn't right for NYR
.

So they offered absolutely nothing for MDZ....

Watching Sens fans and Habs fans argue should be criminal. You guys need colored paper to color on and put little sticky stars on it.

I, for one, will say I was putting the Sens in the 3rd spot in our division, behind Boston and DET, with Toronto/MTL/Tampa battling for the wild card.

The Sens new catchphrase this year has been #fearless. They should stick with #pesky. Seemed like it worked well, cause the only thing they look they're fearless about is losing games.

They need to wake up. They have a very good roster. Some individuals have been playing like utter garbage, and everytime they make an error, the other teams capitalize on it. Cowen, Gryba, Anderson have been terribad. Spezza needs to start leading and also chip in a bit more. Michalek also needs to step up. Even though I still like his defensive game, he's very very inconsistant and looks completely disinterested.

Trades incoming, and I believe it Zack Smith and Anderson will be the first ones to leave.
