Would love to see the L. Schenn from last year make an appearance. We are at the quarter pole of the season, his regression has been tough to watch.

He's still young (age wise) but this is his 5th full season in the NHL, he should be improving.

Maybe he needs Pronger to cross-check him until he gets it.

I think there are far less posts not due to the winning streak, or the Holidays. There just aren't 25-30 pages of pissing matches over semantics. Which to me, is refreshing, and most welcomed.

Claude Giroux and his line mates five on five are not getting it done. It doesn't seem to me at least look like they are even a real threat in games, and that's a problem. I love these players but vorechek even though he has gotten points has been bad. He has great speed but doesn't use it effectively. Hartnell just isn't a first line player. I don't think vorechek is either. Claude giroux is but I really don't understand why he doesn't seem to look as dangerous as he has before. Maybe he does need good players around him. His best season were with Richards carter a good briere and not being the main guy, the he's season he was with a top 5 best players ever to play the game. I love our team but we need our top line to be a threat and that simply is not the case.

Yes te flyers have been playing better but it is because of other players scoring. Pp has been good but we need Claude to be a force five on five

it's the nature of the beast. it's also november. and they lost to a poopty florida team, while in the midst of a streak having finally climbed back to .500 while they're other divisional foes also lost. it's annoying as (frank)ing hell.

His best season was with Jagr and Hartnell, when Richie and Carter were already gone.

Voracek is still only 24 and still finding his game. I hope he finds it soon.

Hartnell is....Hartnell. You ain't teaching that old dog any new tricks and when he plays to his strengths, he can be quite good. He can also look like he just met everyone on the team 5 minutes before faceoff.

The entire top 6 needs to ratchet things up a bit. The goal scoring numbers don't lie.

Just want to point out that Voracek and G did a lot of hard work digging out the puck that led to B Schenn's crucial 4th goal against the Isles in the previous game.

I want to see more of that stuff, and also for G to look for his shot more.

G and Jake have all the tools to dominant a game, but sometimes they play against other guys with a lot of talent too.

In other news... Rick DiPietro just got cut from the 'Canes AHL affiliate... 4GP 5.57GAA and .839SV%.

At this point I would describe the Flyers as a solid team. To get from solid to contender, they need to add the following:
A legit top line winger
A solid checking/PK forward
A good mobile offensive dman
A good mobile all around dman

Face it friends, they arent going to be able to add all of the above by April, heck it will be damn hard to do it by next October!

However by April 2015 maybe, or certainly by 15-16. They have some nice pieces in place: Giroux, voracek, Simmonds, Coots, Read, VL, Downie, both Schenns, coburn, Grossmann and most importantly Mason. It will take some creativity to rebuild the D but once they do, look out!

tough break for DP. feel for the guy. then again, he's getting paid a ton of money to not play for the islanders.

Is that all? No problem. Better chance of Danny Devito eating peanuts off Shaq's head.

I hope Danny finds a way to work that scenario in for the next season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".
