Is this where I come to complain about the Flyers losing and put in a request to trade the whole team?

I blame Rinaldo and Luke Schenn for the loss. Stitch them together like siamese twins and see if you can get a real hockey player for them.

Seriously though, since we lost outright, can we get Raffl or McGinn in a game and sit Rosehill? Get those guys working on their PK skills as well. Now is the time to do it.

I think its great you've given all of those pups a good home! Right now we only have one, our vet thinks she pretty close to being a purebred german shepherd. Sadly while she adores people, shes very aggressive towards other dogs so shes it for now.

Those dogs need homes too and people to love them.

Remember when I told you I was looking at the blind dog and his bother and I was keeping it from the wife? She found out...

We always try to give them a fresh start with a new name derived from the old one. Oscar became Oz last week and we're happy to have him.

I just want to know at what point this family with money to burn decided to stop feeding him because they were putting him down? Here, take my malnourished dog with the designer collar.

Good new on the new TV deal in Canada with Sportsnet...means that the Flyers will have few, if any, issue with the cap

Sadly some folks are only happy when they have something to gripe about, I normally do my best to avoid or ignore those types. Lifes just too short!

Its a lot more fun on here when the Flyers are loosing. This is a good place to go when you need to vent. Personally, I don't really feel the need to chime in until I get worked up over something. I don't have much to add to the discussion on stray dogs.

How much more money is the new deal bringing in per year compared to the old deal?

Bill & Buzzers,

Just curious if anyone has an opinion they'd like to share about Paul Stewarts blog from a few days ago, which can be read here:

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=55946

I know it has probably been talked about already, but to come out and say:

"One year, much later in his career when he was with the Rangers, I ended up getting him on eight minor penalties that season. I caught some heat for it from John Davidson on the Rangers' broadcasts, but the truth of the matter was this: I did NOT go out of my way to "invent" penalties on Lindros -- or any player -- but I wasn't going to give that guy a break on anything borderline that I might have let slide with a player who had gained acceptability with me."

First off, this was his response to another man telling Stewart that Lindros ripped up a poster of him & other Flyers he was asked to sign when he found out that it was for a charity championed by Stewart. That is hearsay and not necessarily how things went down, just like in any story.

Second, if you are a professional and happy you would not use the words "getting him" on the penalties. Those who perform acts are in the least objective position to judge them and it sounds like he had an agenda.

You'll also notice he states that the inception of this grudge began Lindros' first season and he 'got' him when he was a Ranger, which would be at least 8 years.

Just needed to vent. People do not pay to see the refs, I cannot wait for robots.

His best season was with Jagr and Hartnell, when Richie and Carter were already gone.

Voracek is still only 24 and still finding his game. I hope he finds it soon.

Hartnell is....Hartnell. You ain't teaching that old dog any new tricks and when he plays to his strengths, he can be quite good. He can also look like he just met everyone on the team 5 minutes before faceoff.

The entire top 6 needs to ratchet things up a bit. The goal scoring numbers don't lie.

- johndewar

I meant seasons his 70 point season when Richie and carts were still here and his 90 point season with jagr. I just don't like vorecheks fundamentals he makes some odd mistake little ones that don't cost the flyers to much but he also needs to finish more.

Not sure compared to old deal, but it will mean about $15mm per team per year, per Andy Strickland

Wow, didn't read that until now. He asked Lindros how his dad was? That sounds like he was baiting Lindros to me. I don't blame Lindros for telling him to shut up and drop the puck. I agree with you. He pretty much admits that he was out to get certain guys. Very unprofessional.

I see no issue with it. Stewart didn't invent penalties, he simply didn't give a player the same leeway he gave to others.

If I was a ref and working a game between the Sabres and Rangers, Ryan Callahan would get a lot more leeway from me than Patrick Kaleta would.

I see why it is, and can respect the referees who I know have a thankless job most of the time; I am just still sensitive over how Lindros' career came and went. I have moved on, but I still marvel at what might have been if the whole situation would have happened 15 years later.

It's just the whole little anecdote seemed unnecessary to me, almost a rubbing it in. Like, cool man; congrats on your victory. I guess he was a rookie and all too so there would have been no track record of greatness yet to deserve the marginal call/no-call.

Speaking of Lindros, I would have liked to have seen Lindros play with Hartnell. Hartsy could have definitely scored 50 with Lindros. Maybe even 60 if it's a younger Hartnell. And they would have thrown down often too.

I wonder if Paul Holmgren is still getting pressured to make a big deal now that they're looking a lot better. Maybe Ed Snider is backing off a little bit and realizing their under-achievements the past few seasons was a result of terrible coaching. But if Holmgren is still getting pressured, I wonder who he's looking at. A top line winger to play with Giroux is my guess at what he wants the most.

I also wonder if the new Canadian TV deal will affect how they play any trades.

They say it might add 3 million to the cap on itself, how much was the cap supposed to go up?

They need a mobile defenseman with good puck skills more than anything else.

A natural scoring winger would be fantastic, but they have enough guys that can score to suffice. Florida really stifled their transition game last night, and having a guy that can just skate through the trap would be a huge addition.

It would not only help the offense, but it would help the team defensively, too.

The fact the Rusty Klesla is on waivers probably means there's Zero market for Meszaros.

Yeah with Mason proving that he could be the real deal, this team is a mere Drew Doughty away from a Stanley Cup.
