New puppy got you tied up?
- bodiva88

He's awesome but his head is so big I can't always see the TV.

I'm glad we didn't let some rich waste of a human being put him down because he was inconvenient.

Me, too. He'll be a good buddy for a long time.

I often wonder how the people who had Ziggy (because he's way too well socialized to have been feral) let him go without moving heaven and earth to find him (and he was at the PSPCA before he was rescued by PAWS, so he was findable if they'd looked).

Holy (frank) guys apparently Stamkos is training? What?

He better not be hurting himself more though....

Hockey players are a different animal

- Giroux_Is_God

I'd imagine he could do some upper body work with his leg in a cast.

He's walking and wearing skates (but not allowed on the ice in them) two weeks post insertion of a steel rod in his lower leg. I'm stunned.

Yup.. the foul-weather fans and keyboard warriors come out in full force when there's a chance to gripe. Example: Braydon Coburn can have six straight good games -- and you don't hear a peep -- but as soon as he's part of a mix-up on a goal and the team loses, they resurface to say what a horrible player he is.

Everything's good. We're experienced at adding to the pack. I'm the pro, the wife is support and the son has taken a class with a dog whisperer (true). We have it covered. Took about a half hour before I had the pack leader and Oz in the back yard together getting politely acquainted. Once that was done we were golden.

He's so affectionate it's hard to believe they lost interest in him. He can fetch so that excites me.

Meh I think its at times easier to think of ways of how to improve them, instead of saying "wooo". Both are cool with me.

Although I think that Boston series a few years ago was the busiest I have ever seen this place. 3 games of female doging, and then the comeback.

I get it, but I swear there's faces that disappear when they win and show back up after a loss.

So true
all of our dogs have been rescue dogs and they are the sweetest, best companions anyone could ever ask for! All they do is give my wife and I unconditional love and fun times each and every day!

Sadly some folks are only happy when they have something to gripe about, I normally do my best to avoid or ignore those types. Lifes just too short!

We've only had a couple issues with rescues but nothing that we couldn't handle. The hard thing is not knowing completely what you're getting. We usually end up with the dogs they think will be hard adoptions. A recently bred beagle found on the side of the road in SC, an aggressive mix from the streets in north Philly, a young mother with pups found living in the woods in central PA. This dog is a cake walk. The aggressive dog is a problem for my son. We think that running the streets the teenagers in the area abused her so he has to handle her correctly. The dog they found in the woods had kidney disease and we didn't know it. We loved her dearly but we only had about a year and a half with her. That's tough.

Our oldest dog was a purchase. He's a mutt.

Come on man don't take it so seriously....I read it as a tongue in cheek comment with no mal-intent. Just a way to make a point.

Sure, with your reasoning I guess that's right. But that's not the point here, and nobody does that.

Remember when I told you I was looking at the blind dog and his bother and I was keeping it from the wife? She found out...

We always try to give them a fresh start with a new name derived from the old one. Oscar became Oz last week and we're happy to have him.

I just want to know at what point this family with money to burn decided to stop feeding him because they were putting him down? Here, take my malnourished dog with the designer collar.

I love cats but we can't have both. It's not compatible with the dogs we take in.

I think its great you've given all of those pups a good home! Right now we only have one, our vet thinks she pretty close to being a purebred german shepherd. Sadly while she adores people, shes very aggressive towards other dogs so shes it for now.
