If only games ended at 40 mins.

I think they blew it in OT though, that was a legit mistake. Usually they either blow it before it goes to OT or either take it to a shotoout. Also scored one extra goal.


Hopefully they can redeem themselves next game with a 2-1 SO loss.

In fairness, he's pretty spot on. It wasn't an AV sit back on a one goal lead loss. It was a we played hard but we actually suck loss.

Yeah, they played well overall, but those two mistakes were awful.

Saw a Naslund thread over at HF. Damn this team sorely lacks a sniper like that.

I think it does. If your team plays balls to the wall all the time but just isn't good enough to win then it's a personnel issue over a coaching issue. We are at minimum a top 6 impact player away from being successful, probably two.

I agree but we have been in that situation for a couple seasons now. We just seemed to think it was all AV's fault. Turns out that, even though his time had passed, it clearly wasn't only his coaching that was lacking here.

I don't think anyone thought it was all on AV. Nor do I think that Torts has been a perfect coach. I do think however that the effort level you see on a nightly basis is completely different from what we have seen from this team post Boston Gardens in spring 2012.
