And I have no idea how he was not named one of the three stars. As each star was announced in the Farg Saturday night, I kept waiting for Mason's name to come up on the Jumbotron. Didn't happen, Wayne Fish.

Probably won't happen. Rosehill seems to be accountability-exempt.

Has he been that bad? I dont notice Rosehill out there for the most part. IMO that is fine by me.

When stewart and fraser were calling games I felt like they weren't a "third team" I couldn't say I felt that way about any other officials.

Agree with this. van Hellemond rightly received such honors as "worst ever."

That's just it. It's sitting the pine when someone more useful can be played to take time away from other lines' players and keep them fresher. It's misuse of assets that can wear down the team by season's end.

I despised the way that Neilson handled Zubrus. Buried him, spotted him in bad situations and seemed to never be willing to put any kind of faith in him.
- Jsaquella

Should've stayed in juniors longer instead of being rushed. He was mishandled by Clarke in being kept up, too.

just reading up on the Flyers over the past couple of weeks since I was away.. Just came over this gem..

Remember all of those people female doging and moaning about the Talbot for Downie trade. lol

The Downie Effect

The Flyers’ reacquisition of Downie for Max Talbot was seen by some as the goons getting goonier, which of course misses what Downie’s meant to the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning since his dirty days in Philly.

The Flyers are 5-1-1 since the Oct. 31 trade. Downie has six points as a Flyer, igniting a line with Sean Couturier and, more importantly Matt Read, who has five goals in his last six games and four in his last two.

Oh, and Downie only has two minor penalties as a Flyer. Talbot has 8 PIMs with the Avs. Who’s the loose cannon again?

Haha.. it was a blast, but I am glad to be back in the states. Never took a better shower than yesterday!

Both my brother and brother in laws said the same thing. They were actively trying to have my citizenship revoked.

Ah, yes, but he's still learning the North American game. Makes it more acceptable because he brings other skills to the ice instead of just punches and truculence.

This columnist is a tool, but he's a tool that said what a lot of people that don't regularly follow the team were saying:

Sure, but if you're going to talk puck with Flyers fans IRL, you're going to get a lot of folks influenced by them and the radio stations.

It's a long season and way too early to close the analysis on the trade. I'd recommend both sides shut their pie holes until the season is over.

There were a lot freaking out.

Somehow, the Flyers trade an older, one dimensional player for a younger & better player, that coincidentally filled a big need, and people shred the trade.

It was a very solid trade for the Flyers.

There was one regular really freaking out. His name escapes me...but it seemed 4 of 5 were pretty much on board.
