I think van helemond was my least favorite. Schick was awful too.

I enjoyed hating Magoo. His calls were soo bad I would think about the Cartoon Magoo.... Ah.... Magoo, you've done it again... Remember he was blind... Just like the Ref... I'm Surprised NHL stadiums never played that clip.

Didn't they give up Forsberg (Filip) to get him?

Apparently, he also asked to be traded from Nashville. If that's the case, no interest here.

Agreed, we don't need such an Eratic personality in the locker room.

Agreed. I see zero reason for the Flyers to have interest, unless it's a bigger deal to get a puck moving defenseman.

Good for him. Teams will be lining up to give up a significant piece for a guy who has now asked to be traded twice in a year from different teams

i certainly don't want to speak too soon, but if the Flyers CAN maintain this level and continue to improve and play to their offensive capability...Hal Gill WILL help this team in the playoffs.

He seems to constantly be one of those dmen that are JUST the right kind of physical in the playoffs while blocking a ton of shots and keeping the game simple. see Hatcher and Smith in 2007-2008.

From a few days ago, an article on Gostibehere:

http://www.highendhockey....next-jump-could-be-to-nhl

By the way...anyone who's playing NHL 14, shoot me an EMail and I can give you the criteria via Peter Puck to create Mark Alt. And if anyone can give me a heads-up on creating Gostisbehere, that would be awesome.

He's only 32 years old.

Is he still any good at this point?

And I'm not advocating the Flyers to trade for him; just asking is all.

To be honest, if this lowers his trade value, then I would think about it, as a means to trading for a Number 1 d-man. Buy low, sell high right? Erat's value could be low, and his play will likely be better then whatever we would have to give up to get him, and Simmonds play has really increased his trade value...

Mason stopped 36 of 38 shots.
- bmeltzer

And I have no idea how he was not named one of the three stars. As each star was announced in the Farg Saturday night, I kept waiting for Mason's name to come up on the Jumbotron. Didn't happen, Wayne Fish.

The Flyers have been rolling the same lines and defense pairs for the past six games. It is possible that enforcer Rosehill, who made a defensive miscue on the second Islanders goal on Saturday, could be scratched for Michael Raffl tonight or the club could simply leave the lineup untouched while the team is on a roll.

Probably won't happen. Rosehill seems to be accountability-exempt.

This is kind of what I was thinking about Lindros when I read it. The father question had me thinking immediately, "oh that was a good zinger."

I have the same opinion on Gratton and still hate him to this day because they traded Renberg to get him.

Why scratch Rosehill? Only hold talented players accountable.

Sorry, that stuff irks me. Rosehill & Rinaldo get a lot more rope than more skilled guys to be stupid

- Jsaquella

This is the same crepe Stevens did with Upshall, but not other players on his roster.
