Kostca back? - StLBravesFan
Not sure, I haven't seen anything to indicate that. But with Hossa and Handzus healthy Morin wouldn't get any ice time so he might as well play in Rockford.
I wonder who will join Shaw and Versteeg on the 3rd line. |

Exactly....Hogs have 3 in 4 starting tomorrow so Morin won't be idle long.

Prolly Pirri. Q seems intent on playing Zus with Kane. Would rather see Saad ,Kane and Pirri. Shaw, Smith and Versteeg. Guess we will see tomorrow. |

Handzus on the 3rd? That seems like that might be the best choice, for now.
I also heard something on the TV last night that Kostka was coming of LTIR. |

I certainly hope not.
Smith could do well on the 3rd line, but I wouldn't mind seeing Kruger get the chance to centre Shaw and Versteeg. Handzus can centre the 4th line. |

I could see Pirri centering the 3rd line too. It allows Shaw to move to the wing. |

That doesnt look horrible to me. I wouldnt be surprised if Handzus ends up on the 4th line, moving Pirri back up to the 2nd, and Kruger on the 3rd.
Has Smith been Krugers PK partner lately? Ive seen Smith on the pk, just havent noticed if it was with Kruger or someone else. I like the way Smith has been playing lately, seems to be filling out the role player...role, nicely |

I don't know if it's so much ADD as it is feeling out who fits best with who. I know last season we didn't see nearly as much line combo tinkering going on, but I'm sure that was due to the idea that Q was pretty comfortable with who he had and where they fit. |

I agree 100%. I think with Shaw's struggles on face offs why not put Kruger at 3C with Shaw and Versteeg. Then u could have Handzus center the 4th line with Bollig and Smith. Keep the top 2 lines the same as they've been for the past month. |

Morin makes the best play of his young career on the Shaw goal, and gets sent packing in favor of the Slovakian Sloth.
Wonderful...
EDIT - I've been habitually biased in favor of Morin getting a shot - but that issue aside, Handzus has zero business between 20 and 88. He'll be 5-6 strides slow on every rush. Like the guy's tenacity, but Pirri's a much better choice there at this point. |

By my calculations that lineup reads as three scoring lines to me and damn the defense.
Say what you want about Handzus, but the dude wins faceoffs. Getting the puck to Kane usually is a good thing.

Amen to that if youre correct. Im skeptical though, its nice to see the occasional NHL Extra game on CSN here and there but seeing as how there are games on EVERY NIGHT, there should be somewhere for people to watch. I already pay extra to have NHL Network, theres no way im shelling out for gameday or center ice, just cant afford it. - BlazinMike
If you count the Blackhawks there are about 6/7 games a week on now....without paying for Centre Ice.
Hockey will likely the 4th sport 10 years from now but its popularity will increase more than the others in the next 10 years.
Starting here already, more people surveyed attended Hawks games more times last season than Bulls and NHL season was much shorter.

What channel(s)? Wednesdays theres always a game on NBCSN, then saturday theres games on NHL Network, besides that like i said i only see occasionally a game on CSN for the NHL extra. So that comes to maybe 3 or 4 games a week including the Hawks. |

I wouldnt be surprised because it makes sense. But it doesnt always happen that way with Q. As we all know he mix and matches weird combos until it works so it might not end up the logical way. |

It seems to be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday on NBCSN; Thursday, some Fridays, Saturday on NHLNet; after the SuperBowl, there will be Sunday games on NBC/NBCSN. |

NBC sports channel/NHL Network has games on Tuesday and rivalry games on Wed and then HNIC games on Saturday - 2 ....plus Hawks.
Also an occasional game shown on NHL network/CSN....After NFL, games on the weekends during the day too.
That's a lot of games and I love watching but don't have much more time to watch ....Most people married/family would probably agree.
I think the reason you don't realize how much is on is because they do conflict with Hawk games. So then it would seem like not as much.
