He's definitely become more dependable with more ice time. Versatile guy and can adopt easily.

Zeus looking slow...the bystander closest to Schultz and Crow beaten high again.
Sigh.

I'm surprised Eddie O didn't blame CC for that goal. He actually said that was a perfectly placed shot and CC had no chance.

I'll be happy to point out that CC should have had that. But Eddy was right, it went to CC's glove side so he had no chance of stopping it.

He was slacking for that Vancouver game...how many goals did Crow give up in that one again, I forgot?

Case by case, there's likely a lot more substance....but as stated...lot of these might need money because they didn't manage theirs well. League should push for a case by case adjudication IF that's an option.

I don't think the league can afford a mega settlement like the NFL paid out.

Agree and though i rarely side with Bettman and co...i'd hope they'd contest this suit VIGOROUSLY. It's fishy as phuck.

The Wild gets robbed of a goal because Toronto has no stones to overturn the ref and the Blues come back and score. Replays showed it was not high stick goal by the Wild.

Did you see the Boston Carolina game Sat afternoon I think. Charra Slashed Tlustys stick on break away. Shattered it...no call. As he was shooting...Had to be the worst missed call ever.

Problem is, if they contest and lose in court, it could set a precedent for future lawsuits.

I also believe that even in 5000 B.C., people knew that getting repeatedly bonked over the head wasn't good for you. And they act like this is a brand new ultra-advanced scientific discovery just because they have the tech to use resonance imaging on brains... What's mostly changed is culture and perception....

Number of players involved in the suit is much less, which favours the NHL.

The way I see it, they won't need to pay a mega settlement like the NFL because there were a lot more former players involved in that suit, not to mention the priority of the sport in the pecking order.

I'd think this is likely going to be swept under the rug with a comparatively small settlement to make sure this isn't an issue.

I'm slightly curious if the litigation would go through the Canadian or American courts, and if there would be any real difference in result depending on country.

The suspicious timing of this suit, just 3 months after NFL'ers settled would
be a strong point the league could raise. Plus, they could paint a few of these plaintiffs as being broke and desperate.

Even at league minimum they get paid an enormous sum of money simply because they are liable to get maimed or bonked over the head. Perhaps we should also consider making the boards out of nerf material, the sticks out of plastic, and give everyone a stanley cup for participating

I see what your saying about the fishy part of this but if those guys can get other players to join the suit they may have a better shot of getting a larger settlement.
