I've noticed that about the Leafs. They either dump it in and just cycle the puck endlessly or they try to create the perfect play/scoring chance. Whereas the opposing team just gains our zone and shoots shoots shoots. (frank)ing Wild West ova hea.

If you go and read last night's post-game blog at Maple Leaf Warm Oven and check out the shot location chart, you can see how Randy's PP game plan came together to basically box out OV and limit his one-timer at the expense of allowing Carlson and Backstrom open shots from the point.

The shots are all mostly clustered on the outside and as Reimer said in his presser, "I've had alot tougher games with 30-35 shots".

I count 31 shots outside of the slot:

What is not discussed a lot is Reimer's huge frame. He had a big advantage over the midget Bernier.

Reimer is only 2 inches taller. Bernier is still 6 feet..hardly a midget.
Bernier has better puck and rebound control.
Its nice to have two good goalies.
