Most of you will likely disagree, but regardless of the SOG, I felt the Leafs had much more quality scoring chances and were the better team last night. Protect the lead mode, and the uneven PP chances are the causes of the SOG totals for this team. That and the fact the Leafs are a "pass and play team", not a " just get it on net" team.

I've noticed that about the Leafs. They either dump it in and just cycle the puck endlessly or they try to create the perfect play/scoring chance. Whereas the opposing team just gains our zone and shoots shoots shoots. (frank)ing Wild West ova hea.

I agree. That and to keep attacking offensively after they take a lead. The lack offense the last 8 or so games has been frustrating.

Goes back to the old adage "sometimes the best defence is a good offense" That isone of the things I don't like about Carlyle is sitting back with the lead. Take the game the other day when Bernier had that weird goal, if they had kept pressing then that goal would have meant jack poop.

Edit: I'm assuming they would have scored more.

SOG even if they're from the outside is scary...deflections are a biatch
- jimi james

Deflections are indeed scary but I think you'll agree that the Leafs did a good job of boxing out tonight and not letting traffic to the front of the net... also Reimer's rebounds were outstanding last night.

I just want to see what this team can do when its completely healthy, which is highly unlikely to happen at any point this season. Every team can probably say the same, but I just know this team would be tough to play against with all hands on deck. Deck. D-E-C-K. Get your mind out of the gutter...

Reimer was fantastic last night. Maybe getting Bernier did motivate him more?

Love Clarkson's game the past 5-7 games. He really brings intangibles we don't have on the team. Terrific puck possession player.

The shootout is an embarassment to the league.

I don't even think the fans find it all that exciting.

INTANGIBLES!!!

He also likes to shoot the puck, hit, and he wins battles for the puck majority of the time. Plays both ends of the ice..What's not to love?

What is not discussed a lot is Reimer's huge frame. He had a big advantage over the midget Bernier.

Getting bernier yes, but the psyche experience that comes with the mind(frank) of a playoff collapse...and the rollercoaster playoff expereince itself is priceless as well

Reimer actually stopped some pucks in the shootout.
A nice change, good for him!
He played well.
Good on the leafs players for shutting down the caps offensive forwards...they did a great job in front of reamer.
