The point may not be awarded until after the game.... but it is earned as soon as you make it to overtime... if people were updating points in the standings on the spot each team would be given a point as soon as they went to overtime..... - jribout
only because they know they eventually will get one, but the winner gets 2 points. Period.
the extra point is for the losing team. There is no extra point for winning. it's 2 points, same as in regulation.
although, I do wonder if there is a dumber argument to be having at 2am |

Our argument could go either way depending on your view.... I will argue teams do a hell of a lot more to earn a loser point than they do to get the 2nd point from a shootout. |

This is no way a place to share your opinion. - sloppyseconds2
I still think Bernier will be the starter over time. Keep in mind this his first NHL campaign where he's playing lots so obviously there will be growing pains. However Reimer has been playing great of lately. Rebound control has been awesome, still flopping a lot. Wish he could handle the puck though. |

how so? rielly actually comes back to defend and defends pretty decent, If you're going to be comparing someone to liles, compare gardiner - Mapleleafs_91
Late response haha. Company pulled me away.... Every time I see him with the puck he skates just like him. He definitely has way more potential just want to clarify that first before I get ripped on haha. He has more guts then Liles ever did and can win battles on the boards in his own end completely agree with you there and oh ya amazing vision with a few kinks to work out... Gardiner's having the same problem Phaneuf had awhile back trying to do to much just needs to simplify his game and he'll be fine. |

So in unrelated/related news I went and bought a mini hockey stick and ball to play hockey with Vito, he's great defensively. His offense is atrioucious. The question is: when the (frank) did they start making mini sticks out of composite and have a curve on them? Where was this poop when I was younger?
Edit: The cats are all speed no talent. The big cat is John Scott just goes around jumping the others for no apparent reason. |

He tried eating the composite one too. Vito's rule is if he can get his mouth around it, it's chewable. |

Most of you will likely disagree, but regardless of the SOG, I felt the Leafs had much more quality scoring chances and were the better team last night. Protect the lead mode, and the uneven PP chances are the causes of the SOG totals for this team. That and the fact the Leafs are a "pass and play team", not a " just get it on net" team. |
