The problem is that casual and fringe fans like it a lot and they're the ones the NHL caters to. Every time I'm at a bar when a game is on, if it goes to a shootout everyone stops what they're doing to watch. Meanwhile the people who actually invest time and spend money on the game get the old (frank) you. The NHL is constantly chasing the new fan.

It's gotten pretty pedestrian now. It's just six guys all attempting the same few moves with varying degrees of success.

They skate in slowly, then shoot. Some miss, some get poke checked... I thought they were at least exciting for novelty value 9 years ago. They truly are no more exciting than 4-on-4 OT. Not even close.

Still gives Bernier the easy game, but Reimer just wins right now... Gotta give him multiple games.

Its a coin flip at best and shouldn't give you 50% of a win but you can't say its not exciting to most people. Making regular time wins worth 3, 10 minute OT and shoot out worth 2 and the OT loser point is the way to go.

SO to decide a game was a terrible NHL decision.

Monday vs the jackets- Reimer.

Wednesday vs the pens- Reimer.

Friday vs the Sabers- Bernier.

I didn't see 50 the away shot counters Parkinson's meds maybe wore out. We were out shot but I think we had fewer dangerous shots. OV's goal was a very fortuitous bounce crappy minus for Phaneuf who was in perfect position.

Yeah it sucks that you can't get the 2 points if you're outshot. The NHL should change that.

I don't think they should trade either right now because the goalie market is a joke right now. When you look at the number of teams getting sunk right now by bad goaltending and still no one is willing to give up a lot for a good starter, it's not even worth trying.

NBA plays 5 minute OTs in the regular season. Most MLB teams don't have to travel as they're in the city for 3-4 days.

I figured out the problem here. The Habs have won 3 in a row, and Scotch Tape wants to troll, and troll hard, but the Leafs won too and still have more points than his team. So he can't just come here and say "ha, we won and you lost!" or "ha, my team has more points than your team" or "ha, the Leafs were outscored"...so he rolled with all he had to roll with... "ha, your goalie is awesome but your team lost the battle of shot totals, but ironically won the shootout. so there Leaf fans, ha to you!"
