Stevens was the Man! Loved the snarl he played with. My all time favorite hockey player ever! I just love smash mouth hockey.

Can you imagine how legitimately good we'd be if we had Kovy right now? I guess we probably wouldn't have Jagr in that case, but still. That whole situation is still very fishy, I still feel like no one really understands what happened. And by no one I mean no one but Lou.

I hate the idea of a stop-gap captain. If there's no one on the team right now you think deserves it, just hand out a few A's and wait a couple years, it's really not a big deal if no one has the C, in my opinion much better than someone who doesn't deserve it.

Who knows, maybe if they gave Kovy the C he would have stuck around

Really wish Lou signed Teddy and Josefson to 2 way deals and let them play the entire season in the minors. Their development is being hurt by not playing. I remember him think he signed them to 1 way deals to get a lower cap hit, but it is only about a 200k difference, at the cost of hurting their development. Then he goes out and signs vets like Clowe, Ryder, Brunner, Olesz, and Jagr. Very foolish.

They are 22/23, of course they can continue to develop. Josefson still needs to work on his offensive game, and would have gotten a top 6 role in Albany. Get some confidence down there, come back up in a year or 2. He is good defensively, has good skating, just needs to put the offensive side of things together.

I don't think 1 way vs 2 way makes any difference for Teddy and JJ, I think the team is more afraid of losing them to waivers. It doesn't save us any money to keep them up here.

Man Seguin might of been worth fessing up a big time offer to Boston. I am sure they didn't want him in the conference but damn he is looking like a franchise player.

He is talented but we realistically did not have the pieces to get him. They wanted a top winger and some forward prospects. We don't really have either.

Yea if they didn't have a 1-2 punch down the middle I would of gave up Zajac plus for him! I know the hole that leaves losing Zajac as we seen this season but still for that talent level I would in a heart beat they might have a better 1-2 punch in Benn/Seguin then we did in Kovy/Parise.

I was thinking about if the Oil would do this. Zajac + Greene + a pick for Hall and a pick. I know Greene is our best defense man but I think I would do that if Hall turns into the player he is supposed to. Some will say I am crazy but I mean it's just for fun I don't want either player shipped out but I would like to think about getting a young talent like that !

It has something to do with games played and year drafted I believe. I think 1 way vs 2 way just means how much they get paid if not in the NHL.

Teams are looking for d-men, but they want a puck-mover. I find it amusing that so few teams are looking for stability, since it's the key to endurance in a long season.

SJ will be a real test, but we've beaten the Penguins, the Kings, the Ducks, the Lightning, and the Bruins. Let's keep the conquest of the league's best teams going, shall we?

Definitely been disappointed in both of them though. JJ more than Teddy because I had higher expectations for JJ.
