If he played with Gudas' edge (or ANY edge) he'd be the best NHL defenseman alive. But he's soft (except when it comes to MUCH smaller guys, then he's tough).

I would like to see Hedman play the body a little more too , but I don't think gudas will over come Hedman or Carle at all ... I think gudas needs to have where he is suppose to be in our own end pounded into his head . He runs around a lot and floats out of position

Hedman spends ALOT of time outta position too. Gudas is only 50 ish games into his NHL career. Hedman needs to play the body a hole (frank)ing lot more! 23 games with 23 hits is downright pathetic. (frank), Brewer spends half as much time on the ice and has nearly twice as much . Maybe we could get Hedman's mom to play, perhaps then we could see someone with that name on there back not shy away from a body check. Hedman will stay ahead of Gudas points wise, but Gudas, with his presence on the ice can alter a game. Opposition teams know what to expect when Hedman's on the ice. Offensively talented, good puck mover, shy's away from a hit and likes to swing his stick at the puck. When Gudas hits the ice EVERY (frank)er on the other team know to have there head on a swivel, not to hold onto the puck for very long and that it is dangerous to get fancy in the offensive end. That kind of mentality is what makes Boston so good and so dangerous.
