Watching the Subway Series tonight.

Laughton looks good at both ends of the ice, solid on the PP and PK, active stick. He really is a man among mostly boys at this stage in his junior career.

McDavid is flying out there, whoever sucks the most next season is going to be very lucky to grab this kid. Great release, sees the ice really well.

Ekblad looks alright, bigger than I thought he was. Joins the rush at good times.

Horvat has really impressed tonight, great on the PK and hard on the forecheck.

Nurse is playing really physical, has a really hard shot from the point.

3-2 Russia after 2.

I haven't watched much of the game, but I did hear the broadcaster say Laughton has been all over the ice. So that's a good sign.

I would rather hang on to him. He's not going to get you anything in return right now anyway

Deadline baby.

Trade deadline.

I worry more about that contract extension haunting the team, instead of getting anything of value for him.

Flyers will have to put up with the eventual decline of Vinny and Streit. Those contracts will stand. If Hartnell continues to play like trash this season, I dont hesitate to deal him.

What would be the worst deal you'd accept? 2nd Rounder?

Even if Hartnell starts to play well I'd move him if possible. the contract is just an anchor weighing the team down.

He is playing a hard, physical game tonight. Punishing the Russians, had that big hit in the first. I'd be alright with this!

Im not good at trade ideas. I would however wait to the deadline to deal any of these guys. Let teams get more desperate, and especially a team like the Oilers. I think they will be ripe for the picking after another few months of poop play.

This is when they need to turn it up a notch and put a bad team away. Don't let the Sabres hang around, finish em!

Agreed. Yeah, it'd be nice if he developed a little more goal-scoring -- I think it's in there -- but to me, he's proving he's a player who should be here; you just need to give him wingers. Good things will happen as a result.

Doesn't have to be Downie, doesn't have to be Read. But it needs to be two guys who can make offensive plays at a 35-45 point level, if they're the third line.

- AllInForFlyers

He is still only 20 years old. Im willing to give him a few more months before determining whether or not he is a bust offensively.

Ott would be a great addition to the fourth line next year.

Did Leino learn that maneuver while playing with Briere and Hartnell?
