You watch how desperate teams become at trade deadline time... 2 points between 1 and 8th in the west... And if the NYR and Philly's are on the cusp...they'll do it. Mind you Cammi gets to decide as he has the NTC... - geta02it
Limited no trade clause Can choose 7 teams he doesn't want to go to. |

I'm gonna assume most of the bottom feeders are in that mix, Florida, columbus, Islanders, Buffalo, Probably another team like Nashville? I'm going to assume he wants to play for a team with playoff hopes. |

I'd also be interested to see if a guy like Tyler Myers would be in the mix. Big d-man, not having the best of times, and he's american. You know how burke likes his american boys |

Looks like a reasonable guess too me, which is fine Florida don't want him, buffalo can't be bothered to interrupt their fire sale, Columbus probably not, Nashville could have been a destination. Islanders gave it all away there are no picks left. |

I can't see Cammi using his NMC if he is going to a playoff contender (remember he did accept a trade to us), he can go wherever he wants to next year. If he does make a list, odds are bottom feeders won't be on it (what bottom team would give up assets for a rental). Perhaps a deal could be made with Tampa to keep them in the playoff race while Stamkos is out, and help them out during the playoffs. A 1st and one of those prospects I've been hearing about (don't keep track of the lightning that much) could work.
I would also like to see Calgary eat 2 nasty contracts from other teams if it means getting considerable assets in return. Use the compliance buyouts next year if need be. This could allow us to use money and the CBA to jumpstart our rebuild, and if we luck out and get Mcdavid after next year we could become a force in the NHL for years to come. I'd have no problem taking contracts like Heatley's if it means less time spent in the basement, and more promising young players to look forward to. |

I could see CLB with interest if they thought they could resign him. Cammi would look good opposite Horton (whenever he returns). NYI may still have their 2015 1st. They gave BUF their 2014 1st but can defer to 2015 if the pick is a top 10. NSH, IMO, is wasting some of Weber's good years by not trying to do something. Is there any desperation there? |

Edmonton??? - TandA4Flames
Yep...some bold moves need to be made. Veteran presence, guy who can help take the pressure off a few of the younger guys....who knows. Did you they think would make a deal including Smid a few weeks ago? |

Who the heck would we want from Edm for Cammy that they're willing to give up? |

Apparently Horak is doing real well for us. Good to see. |

Comments don't equate hits. Only reads...my blog is one of the top read each month and yet my comments remain low. You guys just aren't as chatty as the Oilers and Leafs fans. |

He did that at first for us, then he got to the NHL and didn't really do anything spectacular. Might work better for the oil if they have room at centre but other than that he's kinda iffy. |

Also, Red wings lost Dkyser so they must be in need of a d-man, i'm thinking Butler for zetterberg straight up. Maybe throw in a 1st from detroit to balance it out but it seems fair. |

Sure but do they need another small highly offensive minded player in their top 6? What a out the good ol size and grit? |

Step away from the crack pipe!!!
Not a chance. Cammi is the last thing the Oilers need. Cant stand him. |
