This looks reasonable to me, a later 1st, a 20yr old right handed prospect with decent looking numbers projects to be a 2nd liner.

Frk has potential but needs work he's 2nd liner or bust IMO. But I'd do this trade if I was the wings. We severely lack secondary scoring. I might even swap Weiss for Samuelson because he just isn't producing and doesn't have NTC which would than allow us to call up nyquist

Flames are going to want young players if they are taking back NHL players. If Berra and Ramo don't work out i could see the Flames going after someone like Reimer in the summer.

I could see Cammi's value as a 1st and mid prospect by the trade deadline. The biggest question is do the flames take their chances that he is healthy and can be traded at the deadline or trade him sooner?

Don't be fooled, Ottawa's defense has been atrocious. Andy's a phenomenal goalie, and Ottawa won't be giving him up unless something coming back is significant. I'm not sure I'd make that trade, considering Cammaleri is a free agent at the end of this season. He's nothing more than a rental.

You Flames fans are out of your minds if you think Camm, as a UFA rental, is going to be traded for an elite young prospect.

Cowen has been complete garbage this year, but his potential and upside is huge. And he's signed at a reasonable dollar for 3 more years.

There is literally zero chance that Ottawa would trade Cowen for Camm straight up.



That being said, Camm is exactly the player we need right now. We need a sniper to play with Spezza and keep the Ryan/Turris line intact.

I could see them combining a promising prospect and a good young roster player for him.

Something like Pageau/Prince/Puempel/Stone + Smith/Condra/Greening...

That's a good return for Calgary in exchange for a guy who's going to walk in 5 months.

Keep in mind we don't have our 1st this year, and because of that likely wont give up our 1st for next year, so those are off the table

Just my opinion but Booth is negative value and I just really don't like him. So in this case I think we would need a 1st as well. Especially if we're considering retaining salary. But for VAN I think those 2 players would be great fits.
