Anyone tuned into the Pens/Caps rivalry game? I have to admit, I love having the Caps in our division along with the Pens, Devils and Rangers. I feel a rivalry between them and the Flyers.

Also I looked up Crosby and Ovechkin's stats. Crosby has exactly 200 more points than games played with 692. Ovechkin is knock on the door or both of 800 points the season with 759. He has 388 in goals with 371 assists. It's pretty amazing what these two have done for the NHL and it feels like yesterday when they came into the league.

hell yeah. good open game so far. if only crosby hadnt missed so much time with injury, the numbers would be absurd.

Reminded me of a friend who was with me at a game and pretty drunk from tailgating trying to get a players attention at warm up. After several attempts she finally blurted out, GODDAMN YOU ASHAM DON'T MAKE ME SMASH MY MASHERS AGAINST THIS GLASS BECAUSE I WILL AND THERE ARE KIDS HERE!!!!"

I've never let her forget it.

he has actually been pretty decent lately. he has been piling up assists and chances for others. but its not even that he is snake bit. he simply will not shoot

its more of just the straight refusal to shoot. the passiveness is absurd at this point.

and maata hasnt been as awesome as he was in the early going, but he is still doing okay. i am extremely excited about him as a prospect

I hope everyone is starting to realize that the Flyers underachieving the past couple years wasn't Holmgren's fault! It was 100% Laviolette's fault. He was one of the worst coaches in the history of the Flyers. Holmgren put together a ton of talented players every year. Look at what they're doing with Berube behind the bench now. There's so much talent on that team and Berube is getting the most out of his players. Holmgren has done a great job and if people wanna bring up the Bryzgalov thing, then point the finger at Ed Snider on that one because he was the one behind that signing. Credit Holmgren for acquiring Steve Mason for almost nothing and signing Emery for pennies. Holmgren is a good GM. My only beef with him is he didn't fire Laviolette two seasons ago.

i'm still a homer fan. always have been. I think he'd be a great poker player. that said i understand why homer is fighting uphill for his job. If berube can turn this season around (and sustain it), mason continues to roll like he has, the youngsters start to play to their potential, and FAs like Streit and Vinny pan out homer will be once again one of the top GMs in the game. Look at stan bowman - he was a joke for 2 seasons but he held onto his prospects and won a 2nd cup despite all the ridicule from his fan base - same with lombardi in LA with the goalie situation and the lack of scoring offense.

yeah. right or wrong, it definitely is a results based judged effort. you can play cards as logically or as well as you think, but sometimes things dont work and it always starts at the top

Lmao dude, she's the worst. I hope they realize nobody takes her stories/reports seriously and we all laugh at her awful posts. I guess she was never hot enough to be a cheerleader, so this was the next best thing in her eyes haha. Please stop Robenhymer and go back to what you were doing before.

I don't mind her. I like that she enjoys hockey and has some decent opinions. I certainly wouldn't rip her to shreds in a public forum with personal attacks if I didn't like what she wrote.

Agreed! She's passionate and enjoys hockey. Nothing wrong with that. Certainly don't have to agree with her, but what is the purpose of shredding her and attacking her hockey knowledge?

Same goes for the Flyers beat writers. They might not be the most informed group, and look to stir up drama, it's simple enough to just ignore them.
