Carter showed his true colors with his response to the trade... and his subsequent slacking off in Columbus... what a tool. - Tomahawk
They made the perfect running mates: The angry self absorbed egotist and the sulky pretty boy jock.
I never thought that's what they would become when I started following them. I hope they're better people in California with a couple more years under their belts. |

Oh, my gosh. Never have I seen a more angry young man that final season.

The beats, and the fans, tend to wear anybody's patience down to a nub.
Where's all that Fraud Giroux talk now, I wonder? |

Richards' game was far more versatile and frankly, I never cared how he treated the press. I just liked the way he played.
Carter could hang numbers, but just found his game to be lacking for what I think a center should do. The problem I observed was that he could only be effective at center as a Flyer. |

Scott Laughton (PHI) named captain of OHL stars. It won't surprise me if he's a strong candidate to be captain of CAN's nat'l jr team. |

What does the media mean when they say " the flyers are quietly shopping Brayden Schenn" ?
How do you "quietly" shop a player?
Yes I am being snarky. |

They're simply dropping hints that if somebody wants to trade them a very good young defenseman, they won;t hang up the phone if the other GM mentions Brayden Schenn's name. |

I imagine the opposite is Holmgren walking around from door to door asking folks, "WHO WANTS A SCHENN?" in a similar manner to "Bring Out Your Dead" |

Not necessarily. They have to know it's a business. Ron Sutter didn't suffer when the Flyers traded his twin brother. |

Morin started the game & was paired with #85 Daniel Walcott
That link should be good for the entire series. |

I still don't think they are going to be making any trades til just before or at the deadline. If they arent in playoff contention expect a sell off of vets. If they're a playoff team (and I think they will be) I think they will look to pick up another good penalty killer to fill the 4th line LW spot.
While I do think they will make a major move to address the D, I don't think it happens until the offseason. Of course now that I've said that, they'll probably make 2 major deals before the weekend! |
