Yeah, Rielly has played really well thus far. Surpassed even my wildest hopes by far. He's defensively responsible, generates offense (albeit no goals yet--those will come), and just seems like he naturally fits. Rielly in a few years? Gonna be awesome I think.

Gardiner is a very smart player as well, very "aware" of his surroundings he always looks around making sure looking very quickly analyzing everything knowing went to jump in and take the puck away from the opponent. His only flaw is his jumping in with the offense will lead him to trouble like you said.

My bad it was at the draft i misread his tweet as the tweet was a little while ago. Still surprised they didn't accept it.

Oilers offered three 2nd round picks for Braydon Coburn at the Draft and couldn't close the deal. Trades in season are much harder to make.

I think the oilers are still working on a deal to bring him there for sure

oh god Vancouver.....now that's some funny poop. Hopefully they come in here and tell us how good the West is vs. the East and how if they were in the East they'd be in 2nd place or some poop

Franson, I think. Carlyle seems to be giving a lot of ice time to Gardiner lately, too. Think he might have turned the corner finally.

Franson is a good player--could fetch a decent price. I sure wish we could upgrade to another #1 dman somehow.

Makes me wish we could get a kid like Justin Faulk out of Carolina. He's been a rock defensively. Pair him with Phaneuf, and Gunnerson with one of Franson/Gardiner/Rielly... Some really decent pairings defensively.
