Kids dreaming about Santa is kinda like adults dreaming about the Leafs winning the cup. Sure it's possible that they could win one, but it's the same premis. Maybe if we never believed in Santa when we were kids then we would never believe in anything.

Thing is, they're not dreaming. It's not like they can be let down. It's real for them. For some it hurts to find out it's not real but most find out organically. It's very healthy for kids.

Couldn't remember who was in net then. Wouldn't have mattered, they both could have been in net at the same time and still lost considering how bad the leafs played.

I believe ( I'm true blue and not a tv guy ) that Bernier is the better goalie.

Sure he's had some gaffes, but so has every goalie on the planet.

Bernier helps our D way more, he wasn't drafted 11th overall for no reason

I would probably do the same thing, His puck handling skill are better. I just still think its to early and unfair to Reimer to make that decision now. Which many people like to throw in our faces. I think my real issuse here is that i hate T.V. announcer's especially the ones on hockey night in canada, just say pointless crap to hear their own voices.

I think he will be too, honestly. But to me, he's just not there yet. I bet by the end of the season, it will be more crystal than it is now. But he still needs to be able to play well consistently. Which he's never really had the chance to do since playing in LA. But right now, I wouldn't feel confident playing Bernier 10-15 in a row, just because he's never done it.

Coming at it from a different perspective, we won't know who is better until Bernier plays that many games. We know Reimer can do it, but until Bernier does play that many games we won't know for sure.

I don't care either way, but I don't think it would hurt to not lie to them from the beginning. I knew when I was 5... My dad has unique hand writing and it was obvious. For years they tried to tell me it was real and it pissed me off.

Drafting a goalie is a crapshoot. But i understand. He's touted. And for good reason. All I'm trying to tell you is that right now he has the potential to do that. Maybe he can. But we don't know for sure. You have yet to see it. At least Reimer has proved he can start a decent amount of games in a row. Bernier is pure speculation.
