Love all these leaf fans giving up on Clarkson after 10 games when they'll be the ones vehemently defending him later this year when his slump is all but a distant memory.

Clean hit.

in fairness that gif is intentionally cut off short.

if you watch the whole video she never completely falls because he stopped to catch her.

by cutting that last couple seconds off it makes it look far worse than it is.

in his defense, leafs style of play clashes with his style of play.

if the puck isnt in deep and hes not in the O zone doing what he does best, then hes not being able to cash in on rebounds and creating offensive space for guys like lupul, kadri, kessel, jvr.

we need more puck possession time in the O zone...randy need to tweak this 'system'.

Yeah that one gesture is going to rehabilitate his character and make up for all the lies, deception and bi polar behavior, ha!

he isnt wrong

clarkson has success when he can park his ass in front of the net and stay there and hammer in rebounds

until the leafs manage to figure out how to maintain offensive zone pressure for more than a few fleeting seconds he is kind of useless offensively.

notice he's looked better and has had more chances in the last couple of games? its because the D is getting shots through and they are keeping the puck in the O zone long enough for Clarkson to get set up.

he will be of no use if the offense cant maintain pressure.. plain and simple. he isnt the guy you build an offense around.. he's the guy that is a compliment to an already structured line who is just missing the net presence.

lol not my point (although i do love the guy, finally politics is interesting again)

my point is the liberal media is starting to step over the line.. they dont have to paint him with a "skewed" brush at all.

i said this two weeks ago.. the liberal media will (frank) this all up and get him re-elected in the end.

you just watch.. his approval rating is already starting to go back up.. his opposition might want to be keeping that in mind.

Clarkson goes on streaks, once one goes in you'll see he'll score 7 or 8 in 10 games, then he'll slump for 10 to 15 gp, then he'll go on another run. He's a 20 goal scorer, 40 point guy. Nothing more, nothing less. That's not to slag the guy, the only thing I don't like about him is the way his ankles bend when he skates. He'd benefit from some Underhill training I think. Not that he's not fast, he's just awkward.

(frank) no.. he is a very good complimentary player.

without strong offensive zone pressure he isnt going to be of much use.

need to get him playing regularly with kadri.. kadri draws people in by maintaining puck control allowing clarkson to go setup

kadr puts it on net and clarkson hacks away until it goes in.

he is a dirty goal scorer.. pretty isnt something people should be watching for.

I don't think he's been poop though, I mean point generation is only one (albeit important) role for a forward of his style. He's had the grit and fire we wanted and has been all over for a ton of chances. He could have several goals and several more assists if the puck would start giving him some love. Hopefully he dusts one or two against the plugs we play tonight, but it's not really a concern because he'll figure it out eventually.
