As bad as it would be for the sport, I would be happy to watch his career end like Lindors' did...

I feel aweful now, but I cant stand that jerk....

I'd rather see the Flyers beat him at hockey, the legitimate way. He looks like a big whiny baby when they do.

Hate to break if to you but the Cowboys dont care that much about the Eagles.

I grew up in Texas and never even heard of a rivalry till I got here...

- FlyersGrace

It's amazing how little Cowboys fans care about the Eagles compared to how fired up Eagles fans get for the Cowboys. The Eagles might be the 3rd or 4th most important rival to Dallas, if that

Again, for me I hate the Giants first. The Skins and Cowboys are close. Probably the Skins second just because of proximity.

Cowboys fans I just don't take seriously unless they're actually FROM Texas. The guys you knew growing up sporting the Star on their ugly ass Starter jackets just wanted to be contrarian yambags. "Oh! My dad loved the Cowboys so blah blah blah blah". Who cares. My dad was a Packers fan. I couldn't care less about the Pack. I'm a 4 for 4 guy that supports the locals, no matter how bad (and they're often bad) they may be.

So the 590 the Fan's lunch with yahoos floated Brayden Schenn for Jake Gardiner as a realistic fix for T.O.

I think I'm done floating them favours for defensmen with potential.

That's because that particular "rivalry" has faded a bit.

The Cowboys–Eagles rivalry is a rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. The rivalry has been one of the higher profile rivalries in the NFL over the past three decades, characterized by bitterly contested games that are typical of the NFC East.

Expalins a lot...

The stars at night are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas
The prairie sky is wide and high
Deep in the heart of Texas

The sage in bloom is like perfume
Deep in the heart of Texas
Reminds me of the one that I love
Deep in the heart of Texas

The coyotes wail along the trail
Deep in the heart of Texas
The rabbits rush around the brush
Deep in the heart of Texas

The cowboys cry, "Ki yippee yi!"
Deep in the heart of Texas
The dogies bawl and bawl and bawl
Deep in the heart of Texas

The stars at night are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas
The prairie sky is wide and high
Deep in the heart of Texas

A lot of things could be said about the current state of affairs in Texas, few of them good, but I never would have come up with a prairie song.

I have very little passion for football. I never get as fired up during an Eagles game as I do when the Flyers are on.

I think that Dallas fans have as much, if not more hatred, for a team like Green Bay.

I'd say it goes Redskins, Giants, then Eagles.

Texas should be broken up into 5 different states....

It's an interesting trade idea, Gardiner fits the Flyers needs much, much better than Luke Schenn.

Eagles/Cowboys had their moments. Big Red did slap them around for a bit. Mighta quieted it down a little.

The NFC East has always been a big ball of hate to me. Eagles/Giants and Skins/Cowboys. Those are the primaries, but really put any of these two together and it can get pretty ugly.

Yup, could be. I have no idea. Clearly the NFL thinks there's a bit of a rivalry, which explains why Dallas has remained in the NFC East all these years even though fully half the country is east of Dallas.

We can squeeze 4 more stars on the flag I think.

Hippie State. Parched State. Gulf State. Oil State. And Newer New Mexico.

No reason to get rid of Dallas from the NFC East. The rivalrys are set, and these boys travel once a week in a chartered jet. They aren't AA baseball players.

That has everything to do with the Redskins and the money involved in those two franchises.

What's going to happen when the Redskins become the Washington Double Crossers, or the Washington Treaty Breakers? The rivalry just won't be the same.

Yup. I'm not big on football, but even I'd be bummed if Dallas was moved out of the NFC East, and it seems very unlikely to happen since it's endured this long.

I have a question for all Flyers fans but mostly for the fans old enough to remember the Flyers winning their last two cups. Who in the history all time is the Flyers greatest rival? I know the easy answer is the Penguins but the rivalry to me feels more recent. The hatred towards Crosby is the fuel to that never ending fire. Now, I ask this because I'm 31 today and I've been a Flyers fan since I was 14 or 15 years old and I'm NOT a local Philly Boy. When I became a fan Messier was a pro and I didn't feel the hate. Mario was a pro but again, I didn't feel the hate. Scott Stevens on the other hand had the Crosby hate, always. When I was growing up, he was a marked man for the Devils.

So I ask, who is the Flyers all time equal and greatest foe?

There's a definite rivalry between the Pens and the Flyers, but honestly the hatred does feel a bit manufactured.

The Flyers-Rangers back the 1970's & 80's....that was some hatred. The 1974 semi-final makes the Flyers-Pens first round a couple years back seem like a love fest

- Jsaquella

Tanking to get good draft picks resulting in generational talent more than once will do that.

Whoa... This reads like a post my first wife would've authored. That's what she called Crosby.

We went to the HHOF in 2006 and she tells our son, "Who's this, M4? It's the big whiny baby."
