classic randy jonesburn seriously can't we trade him already

Coburn has been really good for the most part. I don't get the hate for him and I shutter to think how much slower and immobile they would be without him. those plays happen.

So what is Hall 95% on the faceoff tonight? Seems like he has won just about every one he has taken.

he's done a nice job replacing the irreplaceable Max Talbot.

agreed. his biggest issue is consistency, but more month to month, than game to game. the good Coburn shuts down the Ovi's and Crosby and skates the puck up ice and creates space with his speed.

I wonder what happened to mason in Columbus. I mean, I get that he was very young and there were going to be ups and downs but after his rookie season it was all downs. no ups and downs. this kid looks like the Calder trophy winning Mason but even better
- nastyflyergirl

Well, from what I have read, there were some very serious communication issues between him and the coaching staff. That led to trust issues and it went south from there.

He also had a lot of success at a young age, and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder, which didn't help the coaching aspect. There were rumors that he wasn't willing to d the extra work necessary to regain that level.

Since he's been a Flyer those issues haven't been evident at all. Bill and other have noted the extra work before practice and the relationship between him and Reese seems to be fantastic. I think Emery also helps, because he and Mason have a good relationship and push each other as friends to be better.

It's always been said that Mason's issues fell between two things-his ears. Now he's got his head on straight and he's motivated to shut up the nay sayers.

Coburn has looked a LOT better under Berube than with Lavy. I'm totally against trading the guy.

Two parter post

I really like Rosehills, regardless of what anyone thinks of him and what his role is. Adam scores his first goal as a flyer and Rosehill still has one more goal ahead of him in his career as a Flyer. I think Rosehill is a better Hockey player than he is given credit for.

Kimmo Timonen! Let's get a Cup for that guy because we're back. This is a playoff worthy and playoff contending team!

I've always been against trading him. He might be our best all around defender, especially this season.

Switched over to the B's game just in time to see the Big, Bad, Bruins have turned into bear scat somehow this period. Doing their best to blow the game or at least let the Rags get a point.

I think the Flyer's goalie coach with Mason's positioning has been a big positive for Mason.

I'm sure he realized he was getting a second chance and he is really taking advantage. its so fabulous to have a young good goalie and also to have a good veteran backup too.

Reese turned Leighton around and took us to the Stanely Cup Finals. With Mason, Reese may take us to the super bowl.

the penalty shot, and probably 2 or 3 other kinds of shots as well.
