I truly believe he still has value. And A team like Buffalo that could use a veteran presence around the many young guys they have may just take a shot at him as a reclamation project.

Every GM in the league knows what this guy is capable of. Its just a matter of surrounding him with the right guys and the right system for him to pick up his game.

I think his confidence has taken a beating here. Being on the third line and all. But he could get a confidence boost in Buff likely playing on the first line, But most definitely playing in the top six.

He has zero value, probably negative trade value. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be an NHL player or can't help another team, but with that contract he has negative trade value.

Add Higgins and Ehrhoff to that deal as well. Higgins would waive to go back there in a heartbeat.

Dude he can't even stay healthy for more than a modest string of games these days. Every GM in the league has no idea what he's capable of because he hasn't shown the league anything in years. Pair that with his price and the guy's got no value.

I'd bet anyone on here that if Booth got placed on waivers he'd clear.

Plus BUF seems to be loading up on draft picks not players (9 picks in the first 2 rounds in 2014/15 drafts). But with Reiger fired who knows what the new direction will be.

So we play Florida and Tim Thomas tomorrow. I'd love to see Kassian or Sestito run him over and for him to get lit up like a Christmas tree. White House BS aside, I've never been a fan of him, seemed like a total dbag to me from the start. Fukk him!

But I expect us to outshoot them 40-25 and lose 2-1 with Booth getting injured

- Nucker101

If we can't beat Florida at home we've got bigger problems than I thought.

No kidding, my realistic projection is a multi-goal victory. It's funny, we have 5 ex-Panthers on the team(Booth, Garrison, Santorelli, Higgins, Luongo).

Aside from Booth that's not a bad list.

Crazy stat of the day: Garrison with no goals in 20 games and pointless in 12 games. And this after he started the season with 9 points in his first 10 games.

You've got to think that a fresh start is what Booth really needs. He's got to get healthy, get his stride back and play. I don't think he can do it here. I'd be happy if GM MG ate half his salary and shipped him for a different reclamation project and maybe a mid range draft pick.

That said, there are very few GMs that have played the salary eating game, but I think it will pick up as a common trend in the next few years.

Howmany ex-canucks are on the panthers? Mike Weaver? Gotta think that Vancouver has won just about every trade/deal with FLA.

I think that's just more of his averages evening out since he's never been a high end point producer. I still expect 10+ goals.

In terms of what it'd take to offload him at this point, I'd say we'd need to eat 2m in exchange for a 5-7th rounder. Far more likely he's bought out in the summer but not before MG shuts him down early just to make sure he gets to the summer injury-free.

Eklund and his insistence on the Ducks being in on Miller, despite being hands down the deepest team in the league at G.

It would be totally worth it. Archie or Welsh can do Booth Job for under a million, that saves at least a million in cap space.

I do agree with you that his cap is an issue. But I dont think his tank is empty. He can still help someone.

I'd rather the management write this year off, get all their ducks in a row, and execute a well thought out plan.

They should start putting out feelers for potential trade targets now, and acquire those players next year; after months of discussion.

Are you guys willing to watch this team be mediocre for one season?

Would be awesome if GMmg could broker luo back to Florida tonight.

Luo booth Hansen
for Campbell Gomez upshaw

Then Timmy Thomas can get sent to Calgary or the isles

I think that Gomez do well with Kesler on the wing actually
