I would in All honesty go Kesler Edler and a 1st and a 2nd for Mcdavid and wouldn't think twice about it but I bet the team drafting him wouldnt - The_Kuze
Ummm. Not sure why no one else filled Kuze in, but McDavid isn't eligible this year. He's in the 2015 draft. And Benson isn't next year. He's still 3 years away....
2014 - Reinhardt, Ekblad
2015 - McDavid
2016 - Benson |

Um I said give it a go for two years and then tank for Benson. Did you come here looking for a fight? |

Please bear with me, but on a completely separate topic, did anyone happen to watch the HNIC 'After Hours' interview with Brian McGratton? I have to say I was very impressed with both his mellow demeanor, humility, and ability to articulate his thoughts quite eloquently. Who woulda done thunk?
Actually, it's an interesting and not-so-unusual dynamic, as many hockey players seem to be quite educated and down-to-earth. Another example off the top of my head would be George Parros (who graduated from Princeton).
In any event, just thought I'd throw that out in case any one else had any further comments (or examples of that sort of situation) |

Should the canucks be dressing a 7th defenseman instead of playing Booth on the 4th line? - bloatedmosquito
They should dress 9 dmen, what's the point of having any of those guys in the lineup? |

I'd say a 3rd goalie just as an extra cheerleader would be more useful than the 4th line this year.

Dude, you left Berra on the bench tonight. In case you didn't notice last week, a .915 / 3.69 is good enough to win the goal tending categories |

Hate to break it to anyone with dreams of dealing Booth but he'd actually be viewed as a hindrance to just about everything holy on every team in this league.
Injury-prone, no points producing, 4.25m cap hogging, wildlife liability, hindrance. The only way he gets dealt is if we eat at least half his salary as a starting point. |

Add Higgins and Ehrhoff to that deal as well. Higgins would waive to go back there in a heartbeat. |

So we play Florida and Tim Thomas tomorrow. I'd love to see Kassian or Sestito run him over and for him to get lit up like a Christmas tree. White House BS aside, I've never been a fan of him, seemed like a total dbag to me from the start. Fukk him!
But I expect us to outshoot them 40-25 and lose 2-1 with Booth getting injured |

I truly believe he still has value. And A team like Buffalo that could use a veteran presence around the many young guys they have may just take a shot at him as a reclamation project.
Every GM in the league knows what this guy is capable of. Its just a matter of surrounding him with the right guys and the right system for him to pick up his game.
I think his confidence has taken a beating here. Being on the third line and all. But he could get a confidence boost in Buff likely playing on the first line, But most definitely playing in the top six. |
