Fraser-Gleason would be a pretty mean bottom pairing.

But then there's Rielly. I guess he's just chillin until someone gets hurt. Sounds like Fraser will sit it out tomorrow with his day to day injury.

Gleason is a tough bottom pairing guy that would most likely thrive under a coach like Carlyle. He would slide in the mix with Fraser, Ranger or Rielly on the bottom pairing and add depth to the d-core.

Liles is another offensive d-man that's stuck in the 8th spot and doesn't have a chance at playing unless the team gets decimated by injuries.

Carolina needs offense from the backend. We need a tough, shutdown guy. A JML for Gleason swap addresses areas of need for both teams. Both have identical contracts.

Liles to Carolina has been floating around for a couple weeks and everyone is speculating on how to make it work. Carolina will have to ditch someone off the roster to bring in Liles. Obviously no one wants Komisarek and apparently Gleason is in Muller's doghouse. Has only played 4 games this year

Yeah, I agree. I'd rather Gleason over Liles in the same position in the depth chart, even for $125K more: younger, defensive-minded, tough; an older more expensive Fraser, basically.

It's a good hockey trade if they pull it off, IMO.

I like Holland first game, seemed defensively responsible and was good with the puck and had some creativity. Hopefully improves as he goes farther but def enjoyed his first game.

Still, might see something like this:
