Guys enough with Strome. he needs the work in AHL.
he isnt better than Bailey or Grabner at this point his career. In fact, remember when Bailey was sent down for stint. He was putting up like 2-3 Pts a game.
Grabner would have a hattrick a night down there.
Strome has failed to impress, in 2 camps last few years when playing with big boys. I think he going to be amazing superstar for us but trust me, he isnt the answer yet. Maybe towards end of the year. |

Funny about people and Nolan. People act like he didnt have a team. didnt he have Yashin, Peca, Aucoin, Kenny Jonson. I might be wrong.
Also what is happening with Grabner is all on Capuano. Same way the toolbox didnt know where to put Nino in line up. So where he thought 4th line. Minnesota coach put him on top line. Nino could have easily been recalled last year after his first half year at the Bridge. Can you blame him for wanted to get traded after?
Last year, Isles should of traded Moulson for a top defenseman and inserted Nino on top line. that what should have been done. - Spartiarti
thats fantastic...which dmen were GMs willing to give up? |

1 point in 11 games for Bailey....Poulin's on his heels offensively. I'm willing to bet Strome is a significant upgrade on Josh. |

I'm no doctor but I think flying 3 weeks after suffering a concussion and flying less then a day or so after a concussion are not really the comparable. Plus I'm sure they wouldn't fly him if they felt it was 100% ok to fly. I love all the coaches and doctors on this board - Vukota
1st bold-- admitting to not being a doctor
underline -- gives an opinion that a doctor would give
2nd bold-- knocks everyone who gives their uneducated doctor opinion.

You guys here reports on Victor Crus Rydberg, the Islanders 5th round pick last year? I ask because I have seen him play a couple of times with Plymouth this year, and he has been centering the top line between Ryan Hartman (the Blackhawks 1st round draft pick), and Matt Mistele (a possible 1st round pick in this year's draft). He seems solid to me -- 18 points in 20 games as 18 year old first time OHLer. Maybe your typical late blooming Swede. |

Yep...we're going to overwhelm them by sending wave after wave of muckers and grinders...smother them with mediocrity! |

OK...6 fourth liners and 5 bottom-pair D in front of an unproven goalie. Hope I'm wrong, but this has the makings of a loooong night. |

saw that...makes you wonder why he's traveling with the team and working out off ice then..... Is he delivering speeches in the lockeroom? - keaner17
if he's not close, there is zero point in having him on a 3 game road trip that ends saturday. If he's skating but not taking contact he's at least a week or two away from being able to take contact, and then a week away after that. what possible purpose could there be in having him on a trip that lasts less than a week?
Seriously don't understand what they're doing with him here. He's not close, you have nothing to gain by having him travel and instead of travelling he should be resting so he heals sooner. Boneheaded move imo.

Im sorry, but I completely agree with the Grabner benching.
I know he may "play with Plugs" but he has not buried 1 of his like 50 scoring chances, where probably 30 of them were golden oppritunities.
What I don't agree with is Boulton playing |

if Strome was better than Bailey right now, he would have made the team.
did you see strome in preseason games this year and last? he was invisible.
So Boulton in tonight. Why? so he can play 6 mins and then our other foward are forced to pay more mins.
Ill take a pointless grabner anyday over Boulton on his best night. Colin McDonald has been worse than Grabner and Bailey.
They guy that has been our best player not name Tavares recently is CASEY CIZIKIS. this kid is flying out there. |

Nolan had Yashin, not the other three. The other three were gone right after the 04-05 lockout ended. Nolan had Richard Park, Andy Hilbert and Josef Vasicek. |

you gotta stop hanging onto that 1 season a few years ago that grabner netted 36 goals. i mean...cheechoo scored 50 once. so did heatley. you should go sign them both to super deals and claim they're 1st line wingers in the right situation because they did something some time ago. - rangerdanger94
In fairness to Grabner he was on pace for right around 30 goals last year and nobody is saying he is a 1st liner. Do I think he is a 30 goal scorer? probably not but scoring 34 goals in your first full year followed by 20 and then on pace for around 30 again in the lockout year is not exactly garbage like you like to think. Guy is really struggling this year but its only 20 games in and he still has 3/4's of a season to turn it around. Not sure why you are so worried about what we think about the players we root for?? Its getting old. |
