He hasn't all year it's more recent, but it's a tough line to stop when Dal Colle is on his line the other winger often changes from shift to shift.

Crims, I think you were off on the name. I like Del Taco better though.

Adam Hall has won 30 out of the last 35 faceoffs he's taken.
That's insane! Sorry if Leight.
I wonder if Berube would ever roll him out to take the draw on a PP, Flyers seem to lose a lot of those at the start of the PP.

Still can't believe that they were scratching him for Rosehill earlier

Streit to Rosehill for the goal!
Can't mess with that deadly combination.

Game night tonight!

I think if they can take at least 5 out of 6 points on this 3 game home stand, we can safely say they have turned the corner.

If Florida is willing to pick up some of campbell's salary like Ek posted there is no reason that we should not be going after him... None.

I'll say they safely turned the corner when they are in a playoff position, not before, and I want the team to address the holes on this team... Number 1 d-man and Top line sniper.

While I would love to see those 2 holes filled as well, I doubt very much they will be able to make a deal to do so during the season. I do think, however, that they still have a shot to make a deal for Weber following the season. If Nashville misses the playoffs again, I'm not sure that their ownership is going to be willing to reach into their pockets and come up with another 13million dollar check on July 1st.

Also, in regards to playoff position, win the next 3 games and they may very well be in playoff position. Especially with the Metro div off to such a weak start.

I think they would be better off letting Weber go. It will cost too much to land him, with that contract and the length plus competing with 29 other teams....

I think a deal for Buff, J-Bo, Campbell, or Phanuef is more likely.

I'm ok with Buff or J-Bo. Campbell to me is on the downside of his career and I've never been a big fan of Phaneuf.

He is on pace to put up the same numbers he has been for the last 5 years or so.. maybe more... And on a bad Florida team. I would not be thrilled with Jbo as a number 1... IMO he is a better version then the 2nd pairing guys they have. Would love Buff, and would be ok with Phaneuf.

Best thing about all of them, is thier contracts are the perfect length when considering our young D in the system. Campbell and Buff, 3 years..;. Jaybo a little longer with 6 years...

Hey everyone...read through the thread - lots of really good comments across the board. Quick hits -

- Agree completely with Youarewrong - too many centers now and Laughton in the wings...I really feel one will go between now and start of next season.

- Agree with Jsaq - at this point we might need to deal from strength to address weakness - either YOUNG mobile d or skilled winger. First is more important but harder to find, but I would still prefer one highly-skilled natural winger.

- Agree with Tomahawk, they really should be taking a longer range view. Don't think they will unfortunately. I generally think they need to not panic into another JVR trade, but moving a young player for another young player that really addresses a need might be smart.

I think the best potential trading partner, should they go the route of trading a young center, might be Montreal. Maybe for Couturier and a pick they could get someone like Beaulieu and a skilled winger (Collberg, Bozon, Hudon). There is risk for sure, but might be the only way to get a young mobile d-men who can make the team next year.

You know what really grinds my gears... if the Flyers didn't mark Schenn and Couturier as untouchable, it would have been Couturier going to Toronto for L.Schenn and JVR would be that sniper that we really need on Giroux's wing...

Not necessarily... There will be more defenseman available at the trade deadline as bottom teams are trying to make moves. Right now there are some teams that are trying ot right the ship with defense, without many d-man on the market. So the Supply is lower, thus the asking price can be higher.

JVR did didly squat when he was here. He needed that kick in the ass to get him going.

I really wish they had JVR still...but I wouldn't have trade Couturier for him. And I'm not in the "never trade a potential Selky-winner" camp either. But I'd have been down with keeping JVR and trading Couts or preferably Schenn for another top young mobile D.

Looking at Montreal's roster though - they do have a lot of young centers, so maybe Couts wouldn't be a good fit on their side. Actually, they have a lot of young players and prospects in general.

Or maybe he just needed an opportunity to consistently get top line minutes and pp time.
